About this item

  • Designed by a wrist surgeon in France specifically to minimize wrist injuries in snowboarding, skating and other action sports. Laboratory tested and proven protection. Doctor recommended. Patented Flexmeter wrist protective technology. Fits under Docmeter/Flexmeter Over Gloves. Flexible dorsal thermoplastic.
  • D3O impact protection is integrated in the wrist using 11271 - 4mm Solid Lite B Grey D3O. Removable skid plate. Ideal for snowboarding, inline skate, skateboarding and roller derby. The Flexmeter wrist protector has been designed by physicians, engineers, and trauma specialists. The wrist guard is a dorsal protection worn on the back of the wrist which disperses initial impact loads up the forearm by transferring the energy.
  • You can kind of compare it to a shock on a car, when you hit a bump the force is absorbed by the shocks. The Flexmeter Wrist Guard is designed the same way, as your wrist is impacted the plastic shields and straps act as a shock to absorb the impact and energy.
  • The Flexmeter Wrist Guard has been designed to respect the anatomical shape of the wrist and it follows the shape and outline. The Flexmeter Wrist Guard allows normal mobility of the wrist for ease of usage, as opposed to the protection commonly used. The problem with most wrist guards is that they are too stiff and too short. They don't fully protect the wrists.

I love these. Had a very hard crash and slid on these and my wrists/hands were uninjured.

Good protection, comfortable, fits over gloves. I have not crashed in them yet but they offer much more protection than my last pair.

I wish I found these before I broke my wrist, while wearing another type of wrist guard that was actually more expensive... but offered no support compared to these Flexmeter guards. They are easy and quick to put on, but offer so much support!

The first pair I received was defective. One of the wrist bands was not sewn well, and tore on the very first use. I got a replacement, and it seems to be much better sewn, so I'm guessing the first one was just a one-off issue.I've already inadvertently tested these wrist guards in a crash. They worked fantastic! Zero pain, zero damage to myself, and the wrist guards were just a little scratched on the skid plate, they held up really well. If I hadn't been wearing these I imagine my palms would have been destroyed, and I may have broken my wrist.10/10!

Best wrist protection available for snowboarding. Basically eliminates hyperextension risk. Anytime I ride in the park or do some serious rails and big airs, I strap on these puppies to give that extra sense of confidence. They are comfortable to wear and pretty easy to get on and off (although I wouldn't want to wear them all day all season, for sure). That said, they are bulky, too big to fit under my normal gloves. Thankfully I have a pair of shell mittens that are huge which go over the wrist guards, so that works. Also, it's hard to wear clothing underneath, which makes layering on your arms and hands tricky. So they work great, but not without some trade-offs. Would highly recommend for anyone that is concerned about wrist injuries from snowboarding.

I recently snagged myself a pair of Demon Flexmeter Double Sided Wrist Guards, and boy, do they have a sense of humor! I mean, they're not cracking jokes or anything, but they've brought a smile to my face every time I hop on my electric unicycle (EUC). Who knew wrist guards could be such great comedic sidekicks? In all seriousness (or at least as serious as one can be on a unicycle), these wrist guards have been a true lifesaver - or, should I say, "wrist saver"! They're so comfortable that I sometimes forget I'm wearing them. And considering the number of times I've unintentionally dismounted my EUC (let's call it my "clown act"), these guards have held up remarkably well. The materials and construction scream, "We're going to last longer than your unicycle skills!", which is saying something, given the number of hours I've spent perfecting my one-wheeled antics. They're like the superhero sidekick I never knew I needed for my EUC adventures. So, if you're searching for a sturdy, reliable, and, most importantly, FUN wrist protection solution for your extreme sports or unicycle escapades, look no further than the Demon Flexmeter Double Sided Wrist Guards. You won't be disappointed, and you might even find yourself chuckling as you glide along on one wheel, knowing your wrists are safe and sound.

I've been on a path to find the ultimate safety gear for esk8ing and when I opened these wrist guards today and tried them on in combination with my motorcycle gloves I truly believe I found the holy grail of hand/wrist protection. I say that because I've tried 4 other brands, and while they've done a good job in certain areas like support and comfort and trying to combine gloves with wrist guards, these Flexmeter wrist guards do everything better: they have the longest cuff with the best strap(s) design and the most low-profile pro-level padding while still being super comfortable and allowing pretty natural movement that works with an esk8 remote. Not only that, I've finally found a wrist guard that allows me to combine it with a pro level motorcycle glove, and while I had been trying to put gloves OVER a wrist guard for so long, I finally discovered the secret which is putting my motorcycle glove UNDER this wrist guard. The brands I've tried from oldest to newest for me are: Knox Flatland 3D fingerless (single piece of plastic support brace with single strap), Triple 8 Hired Hands fingerless (comfy and supportive but palm makes it difficult to use with esk8 remote, and only one strap and hard to get gloves over them), Dakine low-profile wrist guards (they fit UNDER my gloves with some hard work to stretch the wrist openings, but it was uncomfortable and didn't have ANY shock absorbing pads. The Flexmeter wrist guards fit perfectly and have padding and support in every area you could need with a skid plate on the palm, and the quality of materials looks the best I've seen. I'll give them a try in the real world and be back to share any issues but this is looking and feeling like I've finally found the perfect combination for my wrist and hand protection. FINALLY. Only took me 1.5 years but if I found the perfect blend of comfort and protection it was totally worth it! I highly recommend you try these for yourself and let us know what you think. I'm guessing you won't disappointed. Keep riding and stay safe out there!

These are great Quality, you feel very protected with them on, they are very conferrable, they could be a bit bulky to wear under some jackets.

I got these wristguards for rollerblading after trying a couple of relatively low-priced brands. Very satisfied with these, have been using them for over a year now and cannot remember when was the last time I got wrist pain, which should say sth (an 80kg fall on asphalt is never exactly light-impact, even if I have become somewhat better at this). Anyway, the main feature of the wristguards is the length of the splint and the three straps, which make them very robust, both on impact and the feeling that you get when you put them on. Highly recommended!

(monoroue, skate, rollers, etc...)
