My tank went bad, likely because I kept removing it to fill up. Bad move. Keep a coffee pot or another glass container nearby to pour filtered water into the tank instead of removing it. I don't see this breaking anytime soon. The construction is high quality; I don't know what kind of hard plastic it is. I'm rating it 5 stars, but would still like to know that. Does anyone know? Highly recommended for Dedica owners. A+++

YES!!! This water jug fits our De Longhi Dedica coffee machine perfectly , the old jug lid broke and the water jug was overdue for a replacement , so we are back in business making quality coffee in the morning .

Short version: Yes, I recommend this replacement water tank for the De'Longhi espresso maker.If you are reading this, you probably already know that the plastic tabs on the water tank are fragile. When carefully inserted there is no problem. If the tank is inserted slightly off center accidentally, a small piece of the tab may break off, which causes the tank to vibrate and the espresso maker will not run.This replacement water tank will be handled very carefully, and I expect many more years of excellent espresso from the De'Lognhi EC885M Deduce Arte Espresso Machine. I am sorry that I needed a replacement, and very grateful that this was available.

This tank is identical in to my original in size and weight (had a water leak as my original one had cracks on it). Works just as good as the original part, but definitely felt a bit flimsy at times, but it is what it is. Couldn't find this part elsewhere so I have no complaints

I was worried because the first replacement tank I ordered from Amazon did not fit and was warped? It only came in a plastic and padded mailer and was broken. But this one was actually in the original packaging and a sturdy box and everything is well in my house again with espresso.
