This is a great addition to my current safety harness and lanyard that I use at work per osha's regulations. I feel very very safe using this equipment. I'm 5'5" 160lbs. I won't be breaking this carabiner anytime soon. Very easy to use too.

I canyoneer a lot in the desert southwest and the sand in the canyon can wear through an aluminum carabiner quickly. This steel biner will hold up a lot better against the abrasive sand. The gate has a very nice feel to it and is easily operated with one hand. It is a nice large opening. It is heavy since it is steel but that makes it much more versatile.

Heavy duty carabiner and can resist high loads. Using this to replace my damaged one for the hammock. Works great!

I have several of these carabiners, trust my life with them. However this one in the advertisement looks to be a two motion to unlock which I was looking for. However it is a straight/standard twist to unlock. I will keep them as they are good equipment. But if you are looking for a two motion unlocking barrel these are not

It claims to be heavy duty, and it certainly is.I like this carabiner a lot, and I trust it completely.I use two belts when doing tree work. The first belt is super duty, and is part of the waist harness. I made a second belt with a rope to always be belted in as I move up and down past tree branches. This carabiner is at the end of the rope that buckles and unbuckles (the other end of the rope is fixed). Because of its size the carabiner connects to and disconnect from the hefty D ring of the waist harness much more easily than most other carabiners would.UPDATE 11-21-24Down to 4 stars from 5.I still totally trust the carabiner, but I'm still finding it difficult to twist and open with one hand.Maybe my dexterity is at fault, but I much prefer the screw type.

This carabiner is solid, I hooked it up for my trapeze and it worked safely for me. The opening of the carabiner opens up wider than most making it easier to hook into.
