TOPKITCH contacted me upon learning my heater element burned out and offered a free replacement. Great to experience wonderful customer Service like this and know there are still companies that stand behind their products.

Likes: The size of the basin is pretty good. I've fried chicken, fish, lumpia (Filipino eggrolls), and fritters in it and it doesn't overcrowd easily. It maintains temperature efficiently. It's easy to clean, is very portable (which is useful if you don't like stinking up your house when you fry fish or something similar), and is super easy to set up and put away.Dislikes: The basket handle could be made to be more sturdy; it's comprised of two pieces (the handle and the basket...my guess is to make it more convenient to store) and when food shifts when you pull it out, the handle pivots out of the locking mechanism. The heating element does take about 25-30 minutes to climb to temperature when the basin is filled with oil to its maximum limit, but this is the only deep fryer that I've owned so I don't have much to compare this to.Overall, this deep fryer is really good and I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase.

I've gone through several fryers recently, and the biggest problem is the temperature drop when you drop in the food. Short of using a propane fryer, the electric ones seem to have been safety featured into nonfunctionality. It may be the volume that allows it to recover quickly, but no more soggy fried food. Fried up chicken, fries, fish, mozzarella sticks, tots, it worked great. Great addition to my kitchen.

240 v single phase dual 3300 watt element. This unit has 6-15 plug which is American, contrary to other reviews. This review is based on unpacking and first impressions. I’m having to run a 240v single phase circuit for this which is under way and I’ve not yet powered unit up yet. The quality is very good. Frame, lids. Tanks are all non magnetic. Which indicates 304SS as advertised . Baskets are magnetic but may be 400 series stainless but they are very nice quality. I’m a electrician by profession so don’t try to hook this up on 120v or you will damage heating elements. For the price I can’t find anything structural or build quality wrong with the unit. I will update after use on performance.

After going through and reading all the reviews, as a chef, it made me want to buy this for its convenience when doing outdoor cooking and offsite events. First of all after opening the box and inspected the fryer, the first thing that I saw was a different type of plug not compatible here in the US, so I had to buy a universal adapter in order for it to be functional. Left fryer's preheating light indication is not working, on top of that it was not heating up to temperature. 350 degrees F gets pretty hot, but for this one after dropping to pieces of chicken wings, temperature already dropped to 295 degrees F. It took almost 20 minutes for the chicken to get cooked through all the way. I have a small portable fryer that gets the job than faster and more efficient. I'm really upset with this purchase, I really want to give it a 5 star but its not reliable for what I need, especially when I do things on the fly.

I have had this for 6 plus months. It has a great capacity and cooks my wings nice and crispy. My only complaints is that it doesn't have a drain to remove the oil and it takes a little too long to heat up (though not as long as some of my previous fryers). I'd estimate 10-15 minutes for cold oil, 3-5 minutes to heat back up after removing a batch of food

Each side takes its own 240 volt circuit. While residential-duty fryers typically are limited to a 1500 watt element, this model has no such limit. It heats up much faster, and maintains frying temperature much better when frozen chow is lowered it.Easy to clean, and it is made of thicker gauge steel than some other models. It is a well made appliance. The temperature controls are accurate- check this with a candy thermometer to be sure.I use one side for seafood and the other side for taters and chicken. There is a nifty 10" funnel-style fryer oil filter available here; pair it with a couple of 16qt stock pots and you have a handy way to clean and store cooking oil. This is a lot of fun and the food tastes great!

After purchasing a Cuisinart Fryer that came with a cheap basket, I decided to return it, and purchased this. It's very well built for the money. Last night I fried 8 lbs. of boneless chicken thighs in less then a hour, and didn't have to baby sit the process. The timer allowed me to do other things and when a batch was done frying and drained for a bit, I started my next batch of 4 thighs, and the recovery time was impressive. I was only using 5 liters (21 cups 5.28 quarts) of cold pressed grape seed oil which was just over the minimum oil level mark and all of the thighs were fully submerged even though they were 2 layer deep. I worried that stacking flour dredged thighs on top of thighs would not work, but it did, keeping them separated and all crispy on the outside... not sure if a batter would work as well though.I don't use a batter, only seasoned Flour.... what was great is after all the frying the excess flour did accumulate on the bottom away from the heating element, and NONE of it was burned, making clean up easier, and leaving the oil very clean and good for another day...So my first outing frying with this was a success... so much easier then my old round PRESTO fryer, which has served me well for 25 years and pan frying. Clean up is not as easy as with the Presto, but the submerged Heating Element on my TOPKITCH Electric Deep fryer does such a better job of maintaining even heat, it doesn't burn the oil.
