Love the ease of using and washing this pan. It is sturdy and strong. Perfect size foe frying French fries and onion rings, the basket makes it so convenient, and dishwasher friendly. Works great in my glass top stove. Very, very satisfied.

I was looking for a smaller deep frier that would allow me to fry with less oil. This is fairly large and is not different from an average saucepan.

I have been looking for years to replace what I called my "French fry" pot that I had from my mom but lost in a fire. So many deep fryers are just too large. Perfect size for me . Very well made and functions as it should .

Love my Oster fryer. Just right for me. Light weight which is what I need. I have osteoporosis and can’t handle heavy items.

It’s exactly what a stove top deep fryer should be…The rivets which join the handles to the pot and glass lid are heavy duty and look like they’ll last a lifetime…. Good old fashioned quality…..The slots on the rim to rest the fryer basket in allow for the lid to sit properly on top of the pot….. again, old fashioned quality …. I highly recommend this deep fryer.

***** QUALITYNot many complaints at this price point which is the deciding factor in my 4 star rating. The stainless steel is not of the best quality and thickness of say a more expensive well polished heavy weight stainless steel pot. For higher quality think of the inner pot of an Instant Pot is you are familiar with that appliance.A close up view of the pot will show a “brushed” stainless look rather than a perfect smooth finish. The magnified views on the amazon product page will show this.***** SIZESome reviewers mention this pot is too small. It could be depending on the intended usage. The product page clearly states the oil capacity is 3.65 quarts so the size should not be a surprise. In my opinion the pot will only work for a one or two person meal unless you want to cook multiple batches.Some notes on the pot dimensions. The product page says the dimensions are '16.25"D x 8.25"W x 6.75"H': * The 16.25D inches is the end of the long handle to the outer edge of the half round handle. See photos 1 and 2. * The 8.25W inches is from the edge of the pot to the half round handle. The actual cooking diameter is about 6-1/2 inches inches. See photo 1. * The 6.75H is the height of the bottom of the pot to the top of the long handle. The actual cooking height is about 5-1/2 inches. See photo 3.Basket Dimensions: * The diameter of the basket is about 6 inches. See photo 4. * The height of the basket including the “feet” is about 4-1/2 inches. The usable height is about 4-1/8 inches. See photo 5.***** CLEANINGOur first try was fries from fresh potatoes. No problem with the fries.Our second use was frozen fish fillets. A “burnt” (?) residue was left on the sides of the pot. See photo 6. I was able to easily clean using a scratch resistant pad and Bar Keepers Friend. See photo 7. The residue came off with hardly any effort as shown in photo 1. I will admit we made a mistake and overloaded the basket with the fish and I don't know if this would have made a difference.Note on my attached photos: the pot as shown was after only cleaning off the residue so any other crap still on it will be taken care of by the dishwasher.Keep in mind highly polished stainless steel will clean easier than the “brushed” type. I'll keep the pot and use my cleaning option as stated above if necessary.

I needed a small fryer pot for cooking meals, and this worked outstanding ! I don't understand the negative reviews because this pot works great for me. No burning or anything. The only small issue to be careful of is the basket tipping sideways when draining grease from the food. Otherwise all is well, I would purchase this product again.

Shiny. Cooked soup and it cleans up quick with a rinse. Thinner metal, but sturdy for the price. All 3 components work effectively and lid fits well when basket removed. Even heating at base. Wash after opening. Next trying some deep frying. It's a keeper.

i use this to fry chips have not used it for any thing else yet but its good cooks chips but could be a bit cheaper but it does its job

Steel felt thin and cheap. The inside of the pot had small white spots and I could tell after few uses this would get worse. I returned right away, the defects in the interior were concerning.In the event you get a pot with no defects, be mindful this a small circumference pot, so very small batches will take a bit, pro is that the pot is tall so you are saving time on cleaning up the stove.

I am very pleased with the Oster deep fryer. It is designed very well - the basket with handle fits in the pan of oil during cooking and the see-through glass lid still fits tight on the pan. The basket is also designed to be able to rest above the oil on the pan rim for easy draining of the fried foods. The only problem with it is that the basket has a metal screen-type bottom and unfortunately my fryer arrived with a broken connection in the bottom.I am hoping this is not an indication that more will break. It’s a small flaw and at this point, I will plan on keeping it. I really like everything else about it!
