I bought this for my new Alienware M18 R2. Product description doesn't mention to be used on this new Laptop, but... This was a blind purchase and fitted perfectly in the slot. You can use it for the New Alienware M18 R2!!

Ordered this for my second ssd in my Alienware M18 R1 laptop. Perfectly matches the original. Makes good contact with the ssd. Made a significant reduction in the SSDs temperatures.Recommended. (The top one is stock. The bottom is this product.)

This heat shield came with the screws I needed, screwed right in to place. Looks identical to the factory one.

Exactly the same design and color as the m2 heat shield that Dell put in the Alienware M16 R1 AMD. This fits in perfectly next to the original shield and both look great together. This even comes with extra install screws which are also like the original and work perfectly.I could be wrong but for anyone with the other M16, M17, or M18 Alienware laptops I highly suspect this is the same as the heat shields in those as well.

I had an extra 2230 drive, so I decided to install it into my new Alienware M16 R1. I'm not sure how hot that little card gets, but it wouldn't hurt to put a heat shield on it.The fit was perfect, and I'm glad that they included screws because my laptop only had one to secure the card but didn't have a second one to secure the heat shield.I'm not entirely sure if it's necessary, but it looks nice in the case and makes it match the heat shields on the main 2280 SSD and the WiFi card.
