We absolutely love our Magnifica. The coffee is perfect and it makes excellent cappuccinos. The only two minor down sides are: 1) the bean hopper seems to be pretty small. We end up filling it every other day, and 2) the milk does not get really hot with the milk drinks. Other than that, it's amazing. Heats up quickly and the crema is great.

It's pure magic!!!! It's SUPER, SUPER easy to use and clean. It guides you through everything!!! It's like having a Starbucks barista at home. It is very nice and we use it often each day. I LOVE IT !!! I will never go back to regular coffee making again!!! If I could give this more than 5 stars I would! Seriously!!!

I got this for me and my wife for Christmas. I stoped drinking coffee at home because my wife makes it way too strong and bitter. We both have our own profiles set up. I really took a chance on this and I am so glad we did We both love this machine and the coffees it makes. The coffee quality is coffee shop quality !I was going to buy a more expensive one, but didn't like aspects of that machine. I love everything about this one except you can't hard pipe the water line. The water container is easy enough, located that you can remove it from the front of the machine and also has a water filter too that is easy enough. If there is one thing I am having trouble with ... is when I went to take apart the milk container to clean it. The top knob part, there was a piece that separated from it. This piece connects to the top knob and is the part the goes into the top and controls where the dial is moved. Well, I had a hard time figuring out the right way to put it on ... as it turns out I didn't put it on right and the dial doesn't line up (or work) now, I am having trouble getting it off...can't get it off.I am back on to see if I can order this part.

Excellent appareil!

Not only did I save around $300.00 from the direct site, but this thing is amazing. Minimal assembly and you are ready. Please do a little research before you buy so you know what you have and understand this isn't a "coffee" machine, but an expresso machine with a boiler system that has to output. I love the saved memory capability, and it fits those lower hanging cabinets too at only 14 inches high. Fresh ground every day is the way to go and well worth it. This baby is its own barista with all the varieties is capable of. Clean up is easy, fill up is easy. Run and get this thing if you know what you want.

I am no fundi but this machine does exactly what we were hoping for. If it lasts more than two years, it would pay for itself over based on the price of Nespresso pods. As a bonus it can make all kinds of beverages and each one of the family of four can have their preferences programmed. Easy to clean.

Makes really great coffee. Very easy to use and the milk attachment is dishwasher safe. It’s easy to simply take off and store in the fridge too so you aren’t having to clean it daily. It self cleans before and after each use which is nice.My only real complaint would be that the “XL” size fills up a standard mug - at least with latte or cappuccino selected. I haven’t yet tested non milk based coffees.

Bought this to replace an older similar coffee maker that was showing signs of wear and tear. Decided to try this one based on other reviews and features compared to similar makers. Always had good luck with DeLonghi products in the past and this is no different. Brews a great cup of coffee and offers every type of coffee your family and guest can request. Easy and intuitive to use and clean. Have gotten several positive comments from family and guests on both quality of drink and looks. A definite recommendation.

I was so excited to receive the machine - makes great coffee. All of a sudden it kept going to milk drinks and you had to exit out to get all drinks. I usually make coffee so this was extremely annoying. It then started flashing between Milk and Coffee drinks (the light below those) and you had to clear out. Then it no longer lights up with you hit either. Due to it being purchase just over 60 days I now had to go directly to DeLonghi and their support is horrendous. We did some troubleshooting and it was determined there is a bad computer / communication board and it needs to be sent in. I then receive email I will receive a box with instructions and I received an empty shipping box with label, padding but no instructions. I wanted about a week for instructions to be emailed and never happened. I am packing it today taking to fed ex and hoping for the best. For a machine over $1K and having these type of issues in less than 90 days it should be replaced and they should refurbish this machine. Thankful I saved by Moca Master coffee pot in the event of issues or I would have no coffee pot for 2 weeks minimum. Very disappointed and regretful I ever purchased.

I started with the Phillip's 5500 but returned it because the machine was too complicated to use and clean plus the coffee was warm, not hot.I purchased De'Longhi because of the reviews on Amazon and YouTube and have had this machine for over a month. This is my review:1. Easy set up and maintenance - the display gives step by step instructions and tells you when it's time to clean.2. Easy to use with touch screen and lots of options for drinks.3. Makes excellent coffees - vanilla almond milk latte with extra shot is my favorite.4. Definitely worth the price. The only downside is that, when I use the frother, the coffees could be hotter but I have seen this complaint with all of the machines from all of the manufacturers.

I've been watching video after video of which super-automatic espresso machine to get. I settled on this one as it appears to have the best combination of features, and Amazon had it at a decent price (snagged it for 925 usd on a limited deal sale). When it arrived, it was packed in a typical Amazon shipping box. This outer box is undamaged. The machine is then packed in a Delonghi cardboard box (outer-brown color), and inner blue Delonghi box, so a double-box inside an Amazon box. After unboxing from the Amazon box, I noticed a pretty decent size gash in the outer Delonghi box, on the bottom of the short side (front). Worried the machine was damaged, I opened it, and took out the blue Delonghi box - this box also had a gash in the same spot, so whatever cut into these boxes was pretty big. Now I'm really concerned the machine is damaged. I carefully remove the packaging, look everything over, and it seems ok. From what I can tell, all the included parts are there.Likely this was damaged at the Amazon warehouse or somehow in their package handling process.I did see on some review videos that Delonghi includes some sample coffee in the box, I did not get that. From what I can tell, it doesn't look like the boxes were opened and resealed. The picture of the machine in the Amazon description also shows 2 small glass and 1 large glass cups in the item listing. These were not in the box.Continuing to setup the machine, I'm following the directions, remove all the packaging, situate it on the counter, and power it on. So far so good. One of the steps it asks you to complete is to setup the internal water tank filter. The directions say to run water into the top of the filter until it's full. I could not get any water to go into the filter. If I shake the filter, I hear a power inside, but the water won't go inside from a faucet. The next step it says to submerse the filter in the tank and get the air bubbles out - again, I could not do this, the filter would just float as there was no water inside the filter. Even if I held the filter down in the water, I couldn't get it to work.I kept going, and inserted the filter into place as shown. The machine then wants to run some flushes. It said to place a container under the water and coffee spouts. Run the flush. The machine started pumping, but made this really loud (unusually loud) pumping sound, like something was jammed. No water was coming out of the water spout - water did however come out of the coffee spout. I pulled the water spout out and placed it again. For some reason, the machine wanted to repeat the flush, then it seemed to work ok.I've had that machine in use now for a few days. I still don't know if whatever damage happened to the boxes caused any internal damage to the machine. This is my first Delonghi, so not sure if the machine is behaving as it should. I'm just worried some time down the road I'm going to have problems and won't be able to get resolved as a warranty claim.
