Buyer beware ! I wanted a second one for my vacation home and after using it 2 times , an icon appears to descale ! Then another icon kept showing up to empty the grind container ! I know this machine well & a new one should not be displaying these icons when it hadn’t been used enough to have to descale & empty the grinds after 1 dispense of expresso ??!!! Buyer Beware ! This is used or refurbished and I’m returning it. Not paying top price for a machine that is not new !

I recently ordered an Espressione. It would have been my second one. Unfortunately the new one leaked a substantial amount of water when I set it up to test it out. It was ordered, while I was visiting the US, for me to bring back to Costa Rica and there was no time to try to get a replacement. Given the success I have had with this brand I think it was a one off problem. If there had been time I would definitely have returned it and requested a replacement.

Love this machine for espresso, which is what it's for after all. But the instructions don't seem to match the reality for a larger cup of coffee. In order to 1/2 fill a normal coffee cup it takes running through the entire cycle twice...which uses a LOT of beans...and this is with double pressing the Lugo button twice each time. I wish there were a way to more simply get more quantity....all with the one use of beans. Otherwise, this is a great machine that makes excellent espresso, esp at the refurbished price!

this auto espresso machine answers the call for espresso variety, steam frothing, and hot water; beans ground fresh for each espresso, ristretto, or cappuccino; a little tricky and tedious to clean but worth the extra time spent

So a part malfunction on the service door was causing problems for me on my first time trying to use the machine. I called the number on the included warranty form just to see if there was something we could do to troubleshoot or if it needed some repair and: what bliss! An actual human answered. That alone blew me away. And it was a guy in NJ, I know that accent anywhere, LOL grew up there, anyway he helped me figure out the problem and is LITERALLY shipping me a new part to resolve the issue. These machines aren’t cheap so if you get one? Get one from a company that’s real enough to work with you. Love em. Can’t recommend it enough just based on the support alone!

I use this machine daily for espressos and Americanos, and have for 1 yr 6mo. Never, never any problem. The grinder never dulls and wastes the grind like my old Saeco Intuita did. That machine required an hour to frequently descale, and if you used too much or too little water for the rinse fill, you had to begin again. This machine always works, always descales within about 15 minutes, cleans easily and makes great single or double "small or large" espressos. As you would expect, two adjusted to smallest, smalls is richer than one large, which I adjust to be a large large, and which my wife uses for Americanos. The medium size water hopper is easy to refill and holds a day's worth, 4 double espressos and 2 large espressos. Mine came with a huge upward coffee hopper extension, visible in the top of the picture. I would also suggest getting a unit with the manual milk frother. Frothing definitely disperses the coffee flavor better in the milkfat it, which gets greatly increased because of bubbles' higher surface area. It's like grinding up 6 peppercorns finely to add to soup instead of just throwing in the peppercorns whole. The grinding will give you a really strong pepper flavor for fewer kernals, while you would hardly taste the thrown in whole peppercorns and would have to use far more. One last note - Don't worry about a one spout machine being slow. If you make coffee for two on a two spout machine, you wind up hitting the coffee button twice. On the smaller, one spout Espressione Concierge , you simply make two of whatever you're making sequentially, rather than two half-coffees in each cup simultaneously twice. This is a brilliant way to get a super semiautomatic espresso/coffeemaker at a lower cost and size, and really not be sacrificing anything, except if you like idiosyncratic machines, which this isn't.
