Well built, great price

Excellent product, I bought it for setting some relays and it works great, quite accurate! It has an extra feature that others may or may not have: It shows the AH capacity while charging the battery. I have a deeply depleted battery and trying to revive it by performing the trickle charging with constant low amperage (as shown in the picture).

Works great but took a bit to figure out how to recharge cordless batteries with it. It kept telling me it could not charge a battery until I figured out the button sequence. I was able to recharge and restore my non-chargeable Milwaukee M18 batteries.

Good power supply. Whenever I had an issue with my order the customer service teams helped me out.

I was looking for an inexpensive power supply for tinkering with Raspberry Pi modules, Arduinos and related devices. The Kungber Variable 30V 5A DC Power Supply seemed like a good choice. I have a small workspace and the 3.4 x 6.1 inch footprint of the power supply was a plus.Packaging was more than adequate to ensure safe transit. In the box, the power supply was tightly wrapped in a plastic bag.Supplied with the power supply was a detached IEC line cord and a pair of hookup cables with banana plugs at one end and alligator clips at the other. A small user’s manual was also included.The power supply seems solid and well constructed. The On/Off switch is housed on the rear panel of the unit above the line cord. This is a little inconvenient but not a major problem. The LED displays are clean and sharp. I found the CC and CV controls very responsive. The front panel USB type A connector is handy for charging a phone or powering most Arduino configurations. The binding posts accept standard 4mm banana plugs and at least an 16 gauge tinned wire. As is standard on most power supplies, the middle binding post is earth ground.Voltage and current display accuracy was well within acceptable tolerances. At a 5 volt, 625 milliamp output, noise was about 320 millivolts.As a power source for for experimenting with micro-controllers and similar devices, I think the Kungber Variable 30V 5A DC Power Supply is a great choice.

I'd like to start out by saying I am new to the hobby of electrical engineering and this DC PSU is the first I've ever bought and operated. Upon opening the box the PSU came in, it becomes evident that actual thought and care was put into ensuring the protection of the product during shipping. It is safely cradled by 2 large, thick, foam cutouts and it is wrapped in a sheet of plastic. The power supply has a very nice look to it and is incredibly light. It would be easy to transport it in a backpack, which is fantastic for college students.Something that stood out to me especially, was the 2 cards that come in the box. There is a guaranteed lifetime warranty on one card and a monetary incentive to review the company's product on the other!! Now that is classy! It just shows how invested this company is in creating an outstanding product they can be proud of and that they truly want to hear what the end users have to say about their product. They appear committed to finding ways to better the quality and user experience of their products.The manual it comes with is well written and helpful in describing the safety precautions and specs of the PSU. One thing I would like to see updated however, are the instructions for setting the current and voltage limits. They give a brief example but it wasn't super helpful for someone like me that is inexperienced with operating a bench power supply. There also seems to be not very many tutorials on youtube either, but maybe I'm just a little slow on the uptake.After some trial and error I managed to get a fair idea on how to properly operate it. Once I got the hang of things, it became apparent how accurate and high quality it is. Gives smooth, controlled output. I do however have a few criticisms. There should be an indicator on or near the adjustment knobs that indicate the minimum, maximum, and middle position of the dial. Can be difficult to tell how much I've turned it, especially if I walk away for a while and would like to quickly resume at the knob adjustments I had previously set before powering off. Another qualm I have is that the coarse adjustments are very sensitive and can be easy to over or undershoot the output value I want. The fine adjustment knobs also don't have a very large range so they can make finding the exact value I want tricky due to the sensitivity of the course knobs.It would also be nice if the power switch for the supply was located on the side, front, or top of the supply instead of on the back. A nice feature for safety too would be to have a button or switch for stopping the output of the supply while leaving the PSU on at its set values so that I don't have live leads that are constantly on and can be a hazard if they were to fall or be bumped into. There is also a short delay in the changing of the supply values after turning the knob as well that could be problematic.Overall this is an exemplary power supply, especially at this price range! This power supply's accuracy on voltage is spot on, the current is with in spec, the controls are easy to use, and the body doesn't seem that cheap. The capacitors are Chengx. They aren't bad but they are pretty decent. The precision capacitors are precision caps. The pcb seems high quality. The LCD display is what you would expect. But over all I think this is a pretty decent power supply and will be good for beginners. The transformer inside its quite beefy for the rated output, so that's a plus. The internal out put cables are pretty thick, they should hold up to the full 30v 10a. I used the lighter technique to see the wire composition, and they are indeed copper, not copper coated aluminum. The shunts seem to be calibrated shunts, one massive DC choke. I like the whole layout of the PCB. Seems like good engineering to me. Seems good to me. Id say 4.5 stars. The main downside id say is the capacitors. Again, the capacitor brand isn't the bad, but it isn't the best such as a nichicon or rubycon. Nice galvanic isolation by the way. The test leads seem to be high quality, lots of copper in them, and again, they are copper and not copper coated aluminum. Only 0.1 ohms from the ground lug on the plug and the ground binding clip. So again, I think... This is a well built power supply and i think it is a good one for pros and newbies. The customer service is very helpful and quick. Mine broke down after a few months due to me attaching it to a load it wasn't meant to handle, but they sent me a new free one without hassle. It came within 2 days. Highly satisfied. Good job guys!
