To be honest, I'm new at this whole home brewing thing, but this product seems to work. I used it to clean out a carboy that had been sitting in a basement for a couple years. It did the trick and now i'm brewing madly in it. Also used it to clean out a gucked up siphon stick and hose and again, it did the job really well. I only took one star off because i really don't know what I'm doing, so I can't say that it's 100% amazing. Worked great for me though.

Not a bad product. Nothing to write home about either. The price per lb is more reasonable than pbw, and it takes a little less to mix a solution for cleaning than pbw per gallon of solution. Directions on hat state two scoops per gallon for cleaning fermenters and carboys and a scoop looks to be about a tablespoon. So you can use that to gauge your use out of a tub. Removed wine krausen from carboy in my mark 2 keg and carboy washer in about ten min and left no hard water spots. That is really where this product shines. Pbw due to its chemistry participates calcium out of hard water and will leave very hard to remove chalky deposits on your equipment when it dries if you have hard tap water. No signs of residue using this product. For that reason, and the price per lb, I'll be using this product instead of pbw moving forward and will be buying in bulk for my brewery.

It seems a little better than PBW. I've used this to clean brewing equipment, as well as to soak and scrub etching marks from drinking glasses. A very effective cleaner.

It was able to clean a nasty horrible carboy I had just sitting there, that is power.
