The non-marring universal mounting clip allows stress-free installation, while the highly sensitive piezo transducer senses vibrations directly from the soundboard for fast and accurate tuning response. The bright, multi-color display allows easy viewing in any environment. It’s so small, convenient, and accurate, you’ll want one for every acoustic instrument you own! D’Addario electronic tuners are designed by musicians for musicians featuring intuitive features, easy to read display's, and exceptional tuning accuracy.

I got this for a guitar I keep in another area or my house where I don’t have tubers nearby. It’s very discrete in the sound hole and isn’t as obtrusive as a headstock clip on tuner. It’s accurate and does the job well.

This tuner fits inside the sound hole of acoustic guitars. It is very unobtrusive and does not damage the finish. It means that you can check tuning very easily without fuss.

Just started using this so not sure if longevity but fits my 1951 000-18 Martin solidly. As you can see in the photo the wood is worn but tuner stays in place and works, has pads on top to protect guitar and small spring lever to hold in place from inside. Tunes great, stays in place, easy to turn off and on. Did not seem particularly flimsy, perhaps others have had trouble on thicker wood. Neat to have it always there, straight out of the case or in the stand.

As much as I love having a tuner that I can clip on my guitar to tune it, I have found that some are more accurate that others. This one is very accurate. I have also broken some tuners hanging on the headstock. This one tucks into the soundhole. It's not visible to all and works very well. I now have a few of these in my "working" guitars.

Compact design. Awesome value. Works great, visible in the sun, stays in place, does not rattle, haven’t had to replace battery yet but I turn it off after tuning. Although does have auto shut off. a must have for every acoustic guitar.

I used the predecessor to this tuner on one of my classical guitars for a couple of years, and found it quite good. Easy to install, easy to use, accurate, unobtrusive, and with a good battery life. Unfortunately, after about 2 years the display began to fade, and replacing the battery didn't revive it. Still, I liked it enough to invest in this new model for a couple of my instruments. This new model is as accurate and easy to use as the older model. The original red/green display has been replaced with a full color display -- hopefully this new display will last longer than the old one did. the design is still simple, but installation has become a bit problematic. The older model remained where I had clamped it for 2 years without issue. For some reason the clip on the new design doesn't seem to want to hold the tuner in the guitar as well. About every 3rd time I turn it on or off, it comes loose and falls inside the guitar. I solved this problem by attaching some double-stick pads to the top of the tuner, that contact the inside of the top near the sound hole. I think if d'Addario put a couple of rubber pads on the surface of the tuner itself, in these same locations, the problem might be fixed, out-of-the-box.Regardless, it's a good tuner, at least worth 4-stars. If they improve the mounting clamp, it will be worth 5-stars.

There are a lot of very good digital guitar tuners now, but I always thought most of them made a fine looking guitar really ugly when the tuners were clamped on the peghead. This one slips into the sound hole, and is visible from just underneath the sound hole's lip. Its ver easy to see when playing the guitar, and so unobtrusive an onlooker wouldn't even notice it at all.The little control buttons have to be pushed with the thumb, but they're easy to find and easy to work. The device sets snugly on some small silicone pads that protect the finish, and requires a practice try to learn how to put it on and take it off, but once you learn it, it's easy. An it's very secure when installed.Another nice touch is the battery can be removed and replaced easily while the tuner is installed. The manufacturer recommends removing it when a guitar will be stored for a long time, but can stay put under normal use.I really like it. The tuning is fast and accurate with no jitters. The display is always shaded by the placement, so it's always brightly seen, and it keeps my old guitar looking as elegant and handsome as ever. I'll probably buy a couple more of them for some other guitars. This is an item that is designed solely for acoustic guitars or other acoustic instruments with a round sound hole. They won't work on a solid body or a guitar with F-holes. But it should fit any guitar that has one; it's quite small.

I bought the D'Addario NS Micro Sound Hole Tuner, hoping sound hole placement would be both convenient and stealthy. The tuner display and functions are similar to the NS Clip-on but with a clip optimized for sound holes. Like the headstock clip-on variant, you can leave it installed without worrying about it falling off or breaking. It’s powered by an exposed button cell so try not to sweat or spill beer on it! The NS seems delicate but is unlikely to suffer trauma since it’s inside the guitar. Installation is easy: simply side the clip onto the edge of the sound hole. Line it up carefully as it’s probably tough getting it out of the guitar should it fall in! Its easy to turn on with a left hand finger and easier to see than a headstock tuner. I also tried to install it in my tenor ukulele and that wasn't a good idea. After great struggle I got it mounted but then the sound hole is so small it was almost impossible to hit the on/off button with my finger. So out it came.Clipped on a Jose Ramirez classical guitar, I found it more responsive than the NS headstock Clip-on. However, I was getting misreads from the A-string: E instead of A. When I stopped the A-string from ringing, the NS displayed the ringing E harmonic from the low E! When I used my palm to mute the other open strings, there were no misreads. So apparently the NS is really sensitive as ringing harmonics set it off. No biggie once I found the workaround. All in all I loved the stealth and convenience of this small tuner. And the sound hole LCD is the most natural and easy to read place for a tuner.
