Providing the highest weight capacity and the most flexibility in coupler design, CURT adjustable channel couplers are a unique option for your trailer. This type of coupler does not bolt onto a trailer's frame the same way that a standard coupler does. It uses a pair of bolts to mount onto an adjustable eye channel to allow for easy height adjustment. The two attachment bolts also provide greater stability and less rattle. This CURT adjustable channel coupler features a cast design with a simple latch. It comes with a durable carbide black powder coat finish for corrosion resistance and has a gross trailer weight capacity of 15,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 2,250 lbs. It is designed to fit a 2-5/16" diameter trailer ball. All CURT couplers include a limited lifetime warranty and feature a lockable latch to give you peace of mind.

Other than the packaging being really beat up it’s a quality product. Depending on your rail it might be a tight squeeze to get in depending on the width of your prior in my case pintle. It was on for a long time and and not as wide as this so it squeezed the metal in.

At first, I needed to grind down some of the cast part to get this to fit in my c-channel, but as soon as I slightly rounded some square corners, this hitch installed really well and has worked great. No complaints here! Would buy again.

I bought a used trailer that had a pintle hitch on it, when I went and picked up the trailer I changed the hitch out to this new hitch. I was able to use the existing bolts from the pintle hitch. Everything lined up great and the hitch performed flawlessly.Note: this hitch came with the right sized bolts but I ended up using the existing bolts on the trailer.
