This axle was listed at used in like new condition.I think someone ordered the wrong part and returned it. Or maybe the box was damaged and they refused delivery. I don’t know. But the axle was in new never touched or damaged in any was. Perfect condition. Fit perfect. Price was about 1/2. Very happy.

Crown automotive usually has good replacement parts and I've bought a lot from them.This isn't a parts problem though. This is a quality control and installer issue.The oil seal was assembled backwards. The spring on the oil seal lip should have been installed towards the axle splines. They installed this one facing the wheel studs end.The end where the arrow is pointing should face the wheel studs.

It came in fully assembled and pressed. Same length too. If you don't have a hydraulic press and not many power tools in, get this. Install was made so much easier even with hand tools for me. I did use YouTube videos for reference:* How To: Change Jeep JK Rear Axle Shafts In 15 Minutes by Branden Ludski* Jeep Wrangler Rear Axle Shaft Replacement by JK Gear and Gadgets* HOW TO Remove Jeep JK Rear D44 Axle Shaft by BSK GarageRemoval and install tips:When taking off the emergency brake hook for the axle shaft removal, start by pushing down the two stops straight down. WD40 and a flat head helps but they shouldn't be too hard as long as your e brake is not engaged. When reconnecting the e brake hook, you have to hook in first, connect the farthest stop, and then push up the closest stop. By far, this was the hardest part for me. Watch your fingers as the compressed springs can pinch.If your bearings get stuck in the axle housing during axle shaft removal, gently pry with a PVC pipe and constantly spray WD40 going around. Don't use excess force or any metal prybar. You can damage the surface where the new bearings you just bought won't seat properly. You will leak if the scratch is bad enough. Alternatively, look up how to use the welding method.Good luck on your install!

This axle came exactly as pictured. It came with the bearing, seal, and all of the studs already installed. This was an easy replacement and installed without any problems. If you buy any of the other axle shafts from other sellers and manufacturers, you must buy the seal and bearing and take it to a shop to press it on, or press it on yourself if you have a press that is setup for this type of work. I was really happy to find this.
