You get quite a bit with this - 12 different colored yarns, and it makes 6 plants. They label this as something for beginners, but this is pretty ambitious for a beginner. However, because there are 6 different projects in here, it's nice for a beginner to work alongside a more experienced person.I like the colors included here, they're vibrant. However this is just inexpensive acrylic yarn, basic. Acrylic is fine for this kind of project though. It's also thoughtful of them to include extra yarn, for mistakes etc. There is enough yarn left over for another pot or two. And, if you're a beginner making the project alongside an experienced person like I recommend, then there's probably enough yarn here to work on the same thing, make identical pots. The hooks and other tools included here are on the cheap side, but they function just fine. It was thoughtful of them to include absolutely everything you need to make the project.

This is a super cute kit, the little features are adorable, and they are beyond cute when made. You could leave the faces off if you wanted to. The kit includes everything you need to make each piece, along with very well written, step by step instructions. Each piece has its own section in the instructions to make them easy to do one at a time. This would be a great gift, is a little difficult for a beginner but could easily be taught. Good value.

This would make a really nice little gift to the advanced beginner who wants to try and tackle amigurumi. The instructions are nice and clear and the kit has everything needed to get started with fair quality materials. I like that this can be used to make gifts in return - who doesn't like cute little succulent friends. :)

This is the coolest little crochet (amigurumi) kit, and it's very compactly packaged so that there is less waste. The fluffing and items are vacuum sealed to save space, comes with everything you need and then some. Good quality yarn, easy to read directions, great value for the money and has been a lot of fun to create. Definitely NOT FOR BEGINNERS, best intermediate or above.

Other than the how-to-guide for the magic ring, I thought all the instructions were very well done. I have crocheted in the past; however, it was years ago and I never read anything... I was only showed how to do a specific stitch and never told the name. It was here is how you do what you want... GO!I really like how they give you a bit of yard to practice all the stitches BEFORE you use the good yarn. They actually recommend it in one of the little books they give you. One is the How You Do Things & What Things Are Called while the other one is the actual instructions to make the pieces. They also had a translation in there for US and UK terminology which was pretty cool! The actual instructions were very clear. Row 1 do this pattern of stitches = #stitches; Row 2 do this pattern of = #stitches. This helped me a lot to know the number of stitches I should end up with in the end. One thing that can't be harped on enough is that STITCH SIZE MATTERS! If you tight crochet everything then you'll be fine. If you loose crochet everything then you'll be fine. It is when you tight crochet one piece and then do another loose that you will run into problems. I personally had to redo the first of the "five soils" a couple times to lock in my stitch size to match how the first two pots came out.For the price, it is a pretty good kit. They give you plenty of materials and you (or the recipient of the gift) will have hours of fun creating these adorable little plants. They really do give you everything you need even down to a pair of scissors. If you are just getting into this, you will more than likely have to rip apart your work more than once because you missed a stitch or miss counted. Don't be discouraged by this. My mom was an expert and even she had to re-do parts at times.

I haven't crocheted in years. My grandma and I used to do this together, but I've only made stuff like blankets and scarves. It was easy to pick up again with this kit. This was so much fun! We've got succulents growing all over the house, nice to have some that don't need water.

Ok. I saw this Crochetta kit for beginner crochet projects . I am NOT a good at things like crocheting !That said , my adult daughter and I decided we would like to learn. She is having surgery in a few weeks and we plan to spend some of her recovery time making these adorable crochet cacti and succulent plants .( I’ll update after we start) I am so impressed with how wonderful this kit is. It is packaged beautifully and appropriate for gift giving . Everything one needs to complete these projects is included in the box . The instructions look clear enough . There is plenty of yarn, the crochet hooks ( plastic so safe for kids ) all the little extra embellishments to decorate the little cacti.I love that these projects are small and manageable . I’ve tried crocheting in the past and got frustrated because the projects were too big and I was overwhelmed and never finished a one of them! There are enough little plants to crochet in this kit to help one get used to crocheting and learning the stitches .I’m really pleased with this set and so look forward to spending quality time with my daughter while she recovers …. having fun and hopefully ann easy time making these little crochet cacti.Would very much recommend !

This kit seems to be more of an intermediate kit because of how small the stitches are, but overall, with a little patience, you'll learn a lot and have some fun doing it. Very Cute!
