I usually receive merchandise in perfect condition and would have except the tailstock came loose in shipping causing some damage to it. I sent Creworks a message and photos and they immediately shipped me a new tailstock. I'm very happy with Creworks! I've been using the lathe and I'm very happy with it. I would definitely buy this again from Creworks. The lathe arrived pretty clean with no rust at all. I really didn't have to do too much to get it ready for use.I did mount my lathe up on blocks so I can easily slide the tray out to clean it. The mounting holes in the tray didn't quite line up with the holes in the base of the lathe where the lathe needs to sit in the tray, so this solved that problem too.I used to have a smaller Harbor Freight lathe. It was good but it chattered on steel, so I eventually upgraded to this heavier and larger one which does much better with steel. You can see in the photo I updated the tool post to a quick change post. I had a friend mill off the pedestal on top of the compound rest under the stock tool post, mill a hole for the larger quick change tool post bolt which I then tapped, and mill 5mm off the base of the cross slide. This puts my 1/2 inch cutting tools about 2.5 mm below the turning axis with adjustable height control.I don't see how one can really use a stock tool post with 1/4 to 1/2 inch cutting tools and shims very conveniently, so I definitely recommend milling the compound rest and cross slide as I had done and converting to a quick change post. I wish the manufacturers would make these lathes with quick change posts. I don't enjoy wasting a perfectly good standard tool post.

Not Good. THE Head was out of alignment with the ways by 1/32 inch 10 inches from the chuck.Cross slide had 1/64 inch rock on ways. None of the parts on this machine have been deburred. The electromagnet switch would not latch. Had to replace it with a toggle switch. Lucky I have a mill, so decided to keep it and fix the problems.Definitely would not buy again. If you don't have skills and machines to work with problems, definitely don't buy.

I bought this lathe on ebay April 28 2022 from this same company. The motor or board blew a about 2 months ago from very light usage. Good luck trying to find the right motor and board combination that will fit. The finish on the bed is awful from when it was casted . Out of agrivation I decided to get a grizzly g4000. It's a solid machine and there is a ton of part support. So don't make the same mistake i did. Spend just a few hundred more and you won't have to spend 1500 3 years later.

Overall has been a good lathe. Needed some minor tweaking out of the box, so far nothing major. Had to replace the 4 jaw chuck- the jaws, no matter how hard I tightened them down, had a small amount of movement leading to the piece not spinning smoothly. The compound slide also needed some adjustment, and I'm still playing with it. That being said, it has so far worked well. It is much quieter than my previous lathes, accelerates quickly and smoothly, and has good power.

So far this lathe seems pretty good and should do the job for me. It came with broken teeth on a pair of the main drive gears. Replacements were of course not readily available. Customer service was responsive and did expedite the shipping once gears were obtained. The gears are 24t and 100t, so not available in the sets that are around.I have not yet attempted any major projects, but the small cutting and drilling projects have gone well. And the customer service team was available, and seemed to do a good job, even though I did not enjoy waiting for parts. The wait was about 4 weeks, which isn't bad considering shipping from China

Unfortunately, this machine lives up to the stigma of a "Cheap China Import Lathe". That is not necessarily all bad though. You just have to expect a lousy paint finish, missing small parts, and no instructions. But the actual mechanics of the lathe machine are there, you just have to refine the fit and finish for YOUR requirements. My intended use is a tool for unique situations where a lathe is a practical tool to complete a task. This is not a precision machine by any means. It is a good machine to carry out making a part on a lathe when only a lathe will get it done. I like having it in my shop/garage and the price I paid was fair for what I expected to get. The machine arrived on time and was well packaged.

I'm a newbie to metal lathes and looked at different models for about 4 months before purchasing this one. My understanding is that these lathes all come out of the same factory, so I read reviews and watched YouTube videos to compare some of the companies that sold them. I noted a few unsatisfactory comments about Vevor customer service, so I decided not to buy this from them. To be fair, I have some Vevor tools and they work just fine, but Creworks appeared to get better CS reviews and their Amazon Prime price for this went so low I couldn't pass it up.Reviews of most mini lathes indicate that extensive cleaning and adjustment would be required and this was no exception. However, there was no cosmoline to scrub off, just manufacturing grit and oil, so I spent about three evenings cleaning, shimming and adjusting. No parts were missing and there was no corrosion, except for the half-nut on the leadscrew. It was so badly corroded that it didn't mesh with the screw. I contacted Creworks and they were very responsive in sending me a well machined replacement. In fact, I'd also contacted them previous to delivery with special instructions and they very quickly followed up with me, so I was impressed by that.I don't have the lathe mounted yet, but tested it on some bronze and steel using a carbide cutter. For still being mounted to the bottom of the packing crate, there wasn't any vibration and I was happy with the results. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy from Creworks again.
