OCTOPUS XS2

The Octopus XS2 has a body of the 2nd stage of traditional dimensions, made of technopolymers and a downstream delivery system with side valve (adjustable), simple and very reliable. An injection duct that channels a flow of pilot air towards the nozzle enhances its performance. The 2nd stage is equipped with a flow diverter that acts on the Venturi effect, with a dive/pre-dive function.

This is the best octopus I've used and planning to get another one for my back up set, The airflow resembles natural breathing at any bar and for me it out performs some that cost twice the price.

Le produit est de qualité (CRESSI), mais il n'est pas emballé et protégé pour un matériel de sécurité. Comme le livreur vous jette le colis derrière le portail à 3 mètres car il est pressé, alors même que vous êtes présents aucun risque que j'utilise ce détendeur de secours à 60m ! cqfd !

This is a nice no frills spare/octopus. Last one is 10yrs old & still kicking. Takes some sucking to breath upside down — Yellow can discolor so you’ll probably want to protect from sun / grease.

A bit difficult to retain in my mouth for some reason (just me?) but otherwise comfortable to use and easy breathimg at 120 psi. Not the cheapest backup regulator, but good quality and reliable. Overall a good choice I'd recommend.

My old octo that I had for 8 years started leaking air so rather than getting it serviced ( for probably at least $50) I just got this one to replace it.

If you're simply looking for a reliable Octo, this is it. I haven't tried expensive ones, but after trying this one, I know I don't need to pay more. It does the job.

I use this for my SNUBA unit. I am sure there is much better, and if I was diving deep or in dangerous environments, I would probably use something else. However, for my application this works fine, and does not cost to much. 60 feet is about as deep as I go.
