These brushes haven't shed very much and they don't smell bad. They hold lots of water and can wet watercolor paper quickly.

It sheds. I kept having to pick bristles off painting it was not what I expected only used in wash will not paint with it

It’s a large brush, soft bristles but the wood handle was damaged during production. This product is made by the Jerry’s in house brand. I’ve noticed their products go down in quality over the last few years. The defect does not hinder the way the brush works but if you are buying something new it needs to be new with no production flaws.

Maybe I got a bunk set, but the two I received look like they failed the QA check. I was able to shake out dozens of hairs immediately, and then gentle pull out dozens more. The blue paint looks like it was put on by a child. It has blue paint in and across the bottom of the hairs. I didn't expect anything amazing for the price but I at least expected it to be consistent. When I use these I will expect a lot of hairs to fall out in my painting, I guess.
