I saw a video of these on YouTube recommending these for a cheap solution for high impedance headphones. I bought the Beyerdynamic Dt770 Pro 250 ohm headphones not knowing high impedance headphones need more power than regular pc Dave could provide. I got these for $10 refurbished and they have been the best investment I made for that money. My headphones are now so much louder and sound better. At times I do happen to hear a loud hiss but I can’t tell if that’s my headphones or this product but it always works after I unplug it and plug it back in. Highly recommend for the price.

Microphone volume is a lot louder than a cheap Chinese equivalent I bought, and it can also handle headphones and mic all on one TRRS jack.

The product works out of the box, its a plug and play experience both on windows and linux as described. However, the sound quality is no better than the onboard audio that comes with any relatively modern system. I wouldnt recommend this unless you need a cheap solution to add headphone and/or mic jack to your system.This is in comparison to a soundblasterX G6 I own which does have a substantial improvement in audio over this product and onboard audio.
