This pour-over device is solidly made, very attractively retro, and most importantly, makes a great pot of coffee. Due to its conic shape and single small hole, the water drips through slowly, which means the coffee is nicely strong -- but be sure to allow for this extra time when you're making it. My previous pour-over had a flatter bottom and more of a basket shape, and while it did brew faster, the coffee wasn't as good. I would advise using a #6 filter if you're making more than a cup or two. The #4 isn't really big enough.

I had been using a metal coffee dripper that seemed to get blocked up and would take a long time to finish brewing. I searched for a ceramic dripper that would take my number 4 cone filters and found this one.I'm so glad I did because it works really well and it make my morning coffee taste better to boot. It brews very well as I pour in some water, let the grounds bloom a bit, then pour in the rest of the water. It's large capacity let's me brew the 18 oz all in on pour after the blooming. This dripper is very easy to clean.Bottom line, it's a really great coffee dripper.

In my gradual move away from high heat exposure to plastics during food prep, I tried this ceramic pour over coffee dripper (my electric drip coffee maker is on vacation for a while). The process is simple and really not much more involved compared to using an electric coffee maker. This unit is built to last, heavy, large and seems of high quality. It fits nicely atop my 20 ounce coffee mugs. Two pics attached.

Very pretty, very substantial piece of kitchenware. Uses one hole for drainage, allowing the grounds to stay in contact with the hot water just the right length of time (IMHO). Makes great drip coffee....and plastic free!

Outstanding coffee filter holder for pour over coffee! The coffee needs to flow well to avoid becoming bitter and this one has the right flow. It's well-crafted, good quality and sits well because the base is wide enough and even though the holder on the heavy side, it's stable because it's not as high as many other similar holders. So happy with this purchase and finding a good solution to eliminating plastic in the process.

Have only made 3 coffees so far & will give another update later. So far I’m very pleased. Color is wonderful. No chips, cracks, or scratches in the glaze. It’s very cute! Balances well on top of each mug I tried. Arrived in wonderful protective packaging. I use with size 4 filters & Folgers ground coffee. Tastes better than the cup I brewed with KEURIG. Hole is perfect size for a nice, steady & quick drip. Easy to use and clean. The handle stays cool, so when my pour over is finished I dump the grounds & filter straight into my composter (purchased compostable filters separately). & give it a quick rinse with the remaining water in my kettle. Will be purchasing another to give as a gift.

Am very happy with this coffee dripper. Since the health hazards of black plastic have been in the news lately, we are hoping to give up the black plastic cone dripper. We bought these in white, in two different sizes as some of our cups are wider on the top. They're actually really pretty and look good sitting out on the kitchen counter. And, they make a perfect cup of coffee. I think the water pours through at just the right speed. On the con side: they are big, and take up a lot more space than the plastic cones, they are breakable and they are quite heavy. On the plus side, the heaviness makes it less likely I'll tip it over. Nothing worse than wet coffee grounds all over my white kitchen counter! Overall, it feels luxurious making coffee with these and I would definitely recommend.

I have a long coffee history, using a French press for years and years, but always wanting less silt in my cup. So finally I did some research and found that pour-over is the way to go, for various reasons. I got a Melitta pot, which comes with a plastic dripper. And so then I began searching for a ceramic or metal dripper to use instead, and I also like to use a paper filter (I use unbleached, compostable ones from If You Care). I finally settled on this dripper, in the lovely red color. It is beautiful to look at, very solid and looks and feels like a piece from Le Creuset, and I get a really perfect and delicious cup from this dripper. It's just as strong as with the plastic dripper, despite a couple reviews that said they added a bean to block it and slow the drip a little. I didn't find that my coffee filtered through any more quickly in this dripper. It can also fit on the top of a coffee cup. I was able to use both #4 and #6 filters in this. I'm so glad to have found a really gorgeous, well priced, and effective dripper for my morning java! Also, I drink my coffee black, so I know this is working because there is nothing to mask the flavor! Highly recommended, and again, it's also really pretty in the kitchen!
