The rubber is super strong so make sure you have a hiking shoe or a shoe that is pretty firm because the pressure of the straps can taco it. They are pretty grippy and were nice to hike around in because I wasn’t worried about slipping. Be careful putting them on!

BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this Harrier Hardware-Crampons with Metal Spikes.2. The current price of ~$6 is very reasonable.LIKES:- Serious spikes. Also work in snow and mud due to the depth of the spikes, and being on the front and back.- Quality it good. These should last.- The price is very good. $3 bucks per shoe. Wow.DISLIKES:- These are not comfortable to walk on hard surfaces, such as pavement or concrete.

At $5.99 they'll get the job done. The connection between the rubber and metal is a little "catchy" but not a deal breaker. The spike are sturdy and long.

While it is rather rare to get ice on the Central Oregon Coast, it does occur, and I would like to be able to walk over icy paved streets or sidewalks. My experience walking along the rim of the Grand Canyon in the winter made me realize the importance of secure footing on ice-covered sidewalks. I requested these crampons but I wanted to see if they would fit on the choice of my boot here on the coast which is a men’s size 13 Bog. The crampons do fit, but just barely (photos). They are sharp which means you must be careful about where you don these crampons. Certainly they would work on thick ice, but walking on a cement sidewalk with a thin covering of ice, which I have not had (nor plan to take) the chance of trying, might actually dig into the concrete and, of course, eventually dull the crampon points. I suspect they work very well on thick ice.PROS• These crampons do fit a men’s size 13.• They are relatively easy to don.• These crampons come with a drawstring bag that may be water resistant.• While not tested (yet), they should provide excellent traction on thick ice (refer to CONS).CONS• As advertised, the crampons fit a men’s size 13, but I suspect not larger sizes.• The sharp points might dig into concrete underlying thin ice and, therefore, may not be appropriate for icy sidewalks.

I've got several pairs of these for hiking in the snow and also for walking around the property when it's icy. This one is pretty much like the others and works well. It is easy to put on and take off and the only thing that's a bit odd is that it doesn't have a size listed on the crampons. Normally there are S, M, L, XL sizes because my wife takes a smaller size then me. The size was listed on the description and it seems to be an XL because it fit over my hiking boots. All in all, it's a good set and I like the small bag that comes with it.

I recently used the **Iconikal crampons** on a winter hiking trip, and they made all the difference! The **1/4-inch steel spikes** provide amazing traction on icy and snowy surfaces, so I felt confident climbing steep trails. The **lightweight aluminum alloy** construction is durable, and they held up well even in tough conditions. I also love the **adjustable straps** that kept the crampons securely in place throughout my hike. With 18 spikes per foot, they were perfect for everything from mountain climbing to ice fishing. They fit my boots well, and I appreciate that they work for men's sizes 10-13. Highly recommend for anyone heading into winter terrain!

These crampons have entirely too large of spikes. They're long. ALso, the link that hold the device together are huge and on my particular boots, I can feel them pressing into my foot, a long with the metal plate for the crampons itself. They're not comfortable, and they're so long that wearing them in the city makes it almost impossible to walk normally. It made me think of when you are walking to the beach over rocks barefoot., and have to walk all stupid. Maybe if I was going hunting with super thick boots and in deep snow these would be good, but I bought them with another use in mind. So I'm giving 3 stars because I think they'd be ok in some situations, but just not in mine.
