I've had 3 or 4 other counter top ice makers over the past 10 years. This one is by far my favorite. It makes tiny square cubes of ice. I like these so much better than the big cylindrical ice that the other machines made. This ice maker cycles on and off as the basket becomes full of ice, as it melts the machine cycles back on and makes more ice. I usually turn it off at night and when I'm not home so that it's not constantly running. It makes ice quickly and the ice stays cold, it doesn't all melt over night. There is usually ice in the basket in the morning. I'll turn it back on first thing and by the time I'm done with my shower and ready to leave for work there is more than enough ice to fill my 40oz water bottle to have cold water for the day.

Our counter space is limited, as is our freezer. So we finally, after a couple years, decided to purchase a countertop ice maker. I really wanted to splurge on a nugget ice machine, but couldn't justify paying more than double compared to something like this.The box arrived quickly and we set it up according to the instructions. We did our due diligence by letting it sit upright for at least 2 hours to let the refrigerant settle. And we washed it out with a mild detergent prior to use. After that, ice started being made and it comes out quickly. I want to say every 6-8 minutes, more ice fills into the bin.The drawback is that the drawer doesn't seem to be cooled. So the ice will melt back into the water reservoir, which is cool. But as the ice melts and new ice dumps in, the machine's sensor can lose track of how much ice is in there and begins to overfill. When this happens, the freshest ice being pushed into the basket will have nowhere to go, and will get jammed up inside the ice making area. So I'm getting a lot of "Dad, come fix this" commands from my kids.The ice scoop it comes with is also a little awkward. It doesn't fit into the ice basket that easily to be able to leverage ice pieces well enough to get them out. So there's been quite a few runaway ice cubes since we've had it.Outside of that, the ice isn't teeth breaking hard. I like the ice it produces as it's about as soft as nugget ice. It does melt quickly, but I'm okay with that as we tend to pound our water here within this house. I just hope they figure out a better scooping system and fix the ice jamming issue.

This ice maker is amazing! Got it for my GF for Christmas and it’s been an absolute great addition for the kitchen

I was hesitant to buy this ice maker machine but I’m very glad I made this purchase. We’ve used this everyday for around three months now and it’s so convenient. The noise level is manageable and a whole lot quieter and much less annoying than when getting ice from our refrigerator, which we don’t even use anymore. I fill it each morning, and sometimes once more later that day, with cold purified bottled water and the ice tastes great. We really like the small size cubes which are soft enough to chew on, which was the main reason to get this. The automatic shut off is also a great feature if it gets too full of ice and also the red light goes on if you need to put more water in it. Other than rinsing it out with water every couple of weeks we haven’t had to do anything else so far to clean it and the ice still turns out great. Recommend.

UPDATE: so the seller took care of the issue and replaced my machine. So far so good. If not for the issue I would have been satisfied in the beginning ,but I appreciate their efforts.So this ice maker worked well for about a month. Then it started acting up. Now at month 3 I have had to unplug and sit it in the garage. This so loud it disrupts the entire household. You can hear it upstairs and when I am on the phone people think I am outside or driving because of the background noise. I had to unplug it at night because of the noise, no one was able to sleep. The ice is just ok but definitely not worth the hassle. Very disappointed since I decided to “splurge “ on this purchase.

We liked the ice it was producing, but really expected it to last longer. Based on other reviews, I guess we were lucky it lasted this long. It started making a horrible high pitched grinding gear noise that was intolerable. Anyway we turned it off and into the garbage bin it goes. It’s CRAP!The seller offered to replace the ice machine after seeing this review. The replacement was delivered promptly and has been working perfectly. You don’t see this type of customer service anymore. Very impressive. Hope the little machine keeps putting out ice.

My entire family loves this ice machine. Unfortunately, it quit working after about 8 months, and the “add water” sensor kept coming on even though it had water in it. I reached out to the company via the phone number on the manual. The phone number did not seem to work but shortly after calling, I received a text. The customer service was great and I was informed they are refunding my money per Marie.
