It’s fantastic for several uses but gets clogged very easily. When countersinking items during cabinet production, it was nice to have a stop collar to make clean and consistent drives…but after the 2nd cabinet I needed to take it apart to clean because the wood was built up beyond the collar. There are other products that are designed a bit bitter regarding the chip ejection.

I've been using these drill bits for years. As a carpenter I go through a lot of drill bits, these are great for different size screws and are cheap enough for when the drill falls over or the bit breaks off you just grab a new one.

Any woodworker should appreciate this set of 6 #8 tapered countersink bits.They come on hex shanks so any drill will handle them and the hex shank prevents any slippage in your drill chuck.I particularly like the taper on these bits as even a shallow hole will still allow the shortest of screws to grip the wood all the way down to the point of the screw.You get 6 bits in the kit so i was able to set up both of my drill kits nicely.I recommend these countersink bits.

These allow me to be a little careless about keeping track of them so when I cannot immediately locate one (because I didn’t put it back where it belongs) I can grab another from this stash. They come in a fairly cheap case with a plastic hinge and molded plastic that is convenient for storing them until needed, but is not durable enough to use repetitively to store bits between each use. I like these for a several of reasons: 1) you can adjust the depth of the drill bit, 2) you can add a stop to adjust the depth of the countersink, 3) they come with the proper size drill bit for the screws (in this case #8s and #10s) to be used. They are not super sharp boring bits and there be some minor splintering on softwood due to clogging, but this can be minimized by a burst of air or two just before the countersink begins boring out the concave hole. The angle is good for most any wood screw when the depth is properly set. Work extremely well for building beds for children in need. Allows for less splitting of wood and glad they are made in the USA.

Good little bits if you are wanting to countersink your screws into whatever youre building. Quality seems totally fine, nothing unusually bad about them. Personally i think they are overpriced when compared to other options. Grab these on sale if you need them.
