With the occasional protests going on in the streets in the cities, a cleaver person came up with the Idea of using bear spray as a nonlethal way of getting protestors away from my vehicle so I can get the family to a safe location. This should do the trick, easy to store in vehicle, long range, hope I don't have to use it. With the justice system not appreciating the safety of innocent bystanders, there have been jail time give to drivers for driving over protestors throwing destructive items at cars causing damage and possible personal injury. I will protect my family.

I carried this bear spray while hiking in South Dakota and then at Glacier in Montana. No, I did not have to spray a bear (thankfully) but I felt confident in this product while hiking. I used zip-ties to hang the holster from my shoulder strap on my 3-day ruck and it worked great. The safety is quality and glows in the dark. This brand is also what the National Park service was carrying. They spray more bears than anyone else I know so I figured I couldn’t go wrong here. Yes, I do recommend this product 👍🏻.

Didn't need to use the spray so it's hard for me to comment on its effectiveness. It arrived quickly and well packaged with a handy holster. The safety clip has a string attached so it won't go flying to the ground even when you release it quickly.

We bought two of these for our trip. Within about an hour of entering the gate we were confronted with a black and white bear about 6', maybe 400+ pounds. It was chewing on what looked like bamboo, but once it got within about 10' of the bars we pulled our cans and sprayed. The bear fled back towards the feeding station, but then security took our cans and we were escorted out of the zoo.

We live in grizzly country and work and recreate on a daily basis outside. This is our go to brand for bear spray. We really like the larger size canisters and also have found the cans seem to last better than other brands, which we have literally had explode on us just from dropping them or if we accidentally rubbed one on something like a tree a little too hard as we were bushwhacking. This is not something anyone wants to happen, it ruins your clothes and it takes about a week for that nasty burning on your skin to go away, unpleasant to say the least. Never had an accidental release with one of these canisters by Counter Assault, even after falls and bushwhacking. This is an item you want to be able to rely on in the wilderness and not something you have to worry about if it is going to malfunction or break or not work properly when needed.
