Colour was perfect, easily put together. I really like how it works as a step stool

Check the dimensions if you are expecting a chair like the old one you may remember. This one is much smaller than the historical version. Also, the steps just slide forward, and can easily slide back. They are not sturdy.It is a bit difficult to assemble; but it is very attractive and usable.

This is great for sitting but I do not feel secure standing on it to reach things that are high. But I love the vintage look

Sturdy, good quality and handy for a variety of purposes. Every home had one of these in the 1960s. Makes a great toddler chair at the dining table, sturdy step stool, and solid enough for a 200lb adult to sit on. Since it is counter height, I can use it to sit down while doing lengthy kitchen tasks. Makes an additional seat for our counter height kitchen table. My only complaint is the lack of grip on the chair glides. They slide very easily which is great for moving the stool around, but no so great if using as a step stool. I added some rubber caps to the legs and I feel much more secure climbing on it. Directions were easy to follow and assembly was quite simple except that you may require a second set of hands to pull the legs together or apart to line up the screw holes. Very happy with this purchase!

This is sturdy, and easy to assemble, love the color- reminds me of my childhood , and getting to sit on this at dinner! Can recommend.

This chair is somewhat reminiscent of a step stool chair my grandmother had in her kitchen, except hers was adult size, and everyone always wanted to sit in it. This one is very small and more for a child, which is why I deducted a star. It has decent padding and I can sit in it, but it is not an adult size seat. It seems well made, and unlike some people, I had no difficulty whatsoever putting it together. Everything lined up perfectly. It isn't worth the price because it isn't for adults and it is misleading to think you are getting the retro chair it represents, because that one was adult size. I'm keeping it nevertheless because there isn't any other options unless you can find a used one from many years ago, which most likely has a lot of rust. I hope they make a larger size and I would be willing to pay more for it.

I can’t stand for long and this is just the right height to sit and work at the counter. Steps seemed awfully narrowed and a bit flimsy, so we just left them off-makes the stool lighter to move around! I am VERY glad my husband is handy, however. I could never have put it together!

It took just 4 days to arrive after I placed the order.What's In The Box:You will receive this bright red chair/stepstool completely disassembled to the tune of fifteen individual parts. You will also receive two packs of screws. One pack is for the chair, and the other is for the steps. That helps a little in eliminating confusion about what screws go where. You will also receive a set of typed assembly instructions.What Tools Are Required For Assembly:You will need a Phillips screw driver. Nothing more (there are no Allen screws).How Difficult Is Assembly:This depends on your experience putting this kind of stuff together. Never-the-less, I would rank it at about a three or four on the "ten" scale. If you follow the instructions, you will find that assembly will go fairly smoothly, as they are fairly detailed. The stool also has "direction indicator" stickers here and there to ensure you are putting it together correctly. Paying attention and checking your work from time to time as you progress will assist you in assembling a sturdy and straight stool. Worse case scenario, set aside approximately forty-five minutes to one hour for assembly.Quality:I am somewhat impressed with the overall quality of this unit. The quality is also there in almost every detail, with the exception of the plastic slides, but they are made of high quality, thick, rugged plastic. I see no problem with them at all. We have yet encounter any "derailment" as pointed out in one other review. However, we do not use this chair/stepstool for everyday seating.Stability:I personally see no issue with it's stability. It has exactly the same stance/footprint as our barstools. They are stable too, unless you (or the kids) get silly on them. As with all stepstools, use common sense with this unit too. Do not stand on the seat, and do not let children play on it. I would not recommend using it as a highchair for a child. Highchairs generally have a much wider stance for safety.
