These clippers are perfect for those areas where a string trimmer might damage flowers that have grown out over the grass during the summer. These clippers reach safely under the marigolds and keep everything looking neat. These clippers cut well and I couldn’t justify spending more money for expensive clippers. A few drops of oil occasionally and these will outlast me.

These shears are the exact same design of a pair I used that had belonged to my parents, when I was a kid in the 1970s. The only real difference is a few pieces now plastic, like the blades closed lock. The plastic covers on the steel sheet metal handles are also not the same, and came off when I treated the whole shears to a bath in Break Free CLP, to help it last in it's harsh environment. They cut great, all the way out to the tip, and goes through anything that doesn't have bark I tried them on. Wipe all the grass juice off and if possible oil a little on the blades and moving parts after use, and they will easily last a lifetime.

I use these to cut my microgreens and they work perfect! Just be sure to wipe the blades off with a paper towel or towel after you are done cutting any plants or the plant residue moisture and leaves sticks to the blades and is very hard to get off. They have stayed very sharp keeping keeping them clean. They cut very well over and over. I keep them clean and they have worked perfect.

Would be great, but don't glide (open and close) easily and don't open wide enough. Not the most useful and easy to use of grass cutters i have owned.
