This thing works so great on cleaning trimmers and scissors. It just gets the gunk right off and it’s so easy to use. Makes cleaning blades both safe and quick!

Hands down one of my favorite purchases for harvesting ever. Don’t waste your time with any other trimmer cleaners. These work brilliantly with %91 isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). I have bonsai trimmers and they get resin on them constantly during harvest. These clean them spotless and I have tried all sorts of things. Seriously, if you’re a grower buy this scrubber. It will alleviate a ton of hassle. Additionally, make sure you have good trimmers. Mine are high end Japanese steel that can be sharpened and I love them. Cost me maybe $35 and they will last forever since I can sharpen the blade myself with any sharpener that can achieve angles for a chefs knife which is sub 20*.

I read both positive & negative reviews, initially looking for trends in the negative reviews. From there I go to the positive reviews and see if anyone repeated any of the negative issues or countered them. This was one of those products where a few of the issues were repeated, but to me it seemed that people didn't research what they were purchasing. Based on the dimensions of the scrubber box and the images of the shears inside of it, I think many simply had larger/heavier sheers. This product works perfectly fine for me - my shears don't cause the box to fall over, the bristles inside clean my shears perfectly fine, and yes, while it is a cheap plastic box with bristles - that was exactly what I wanted. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something meant only for me to shove my gardening shears into to disinfect and clean them. The product works as intended - you just need to know what you intend to do with it.

Does the job although i can do the same thing in the same amount of time without spending the money on this. If you’re using 70% isopropyl then this is handy as you can mindlessly wiggle your scissors in this until clean. If you’re only using 1 or 2 pair you don’t need to spend your money on this. Just get a paper towel, some isopropyl, and have at it. If you’re using 5+ pair then this will save your hands from cramping. So this thing is handy depending on your circumstances. As far as cleaning your trimmers faster, I don’t see there being much of a difference.(If you have scissors you think are beyond cleaning try a few drops of cooking oil on a paper towel and scrub away. Then use isopropyl to clean the oil off. It may take some time but you just might save yourself a pair of trimmers!)

I dont like the flimsy lid on this unit. Also dont leave alcohol in it and let it dry out accidentally because it will be ruined. I have 25 pairs trimmers and and i like to have them all cleaned and sharpened when i trim. This is more for someone who trims a lot of plants. I dont like to clean the trimmers as i go. Thats a waste of time so i have 25 pairs of ready to go trimmers and i just grab a fresh pair of them and toss the dirty ones in a bin for cleaning later. Because everytime you use this scrubber box you have to clean it out. You can reuse the rubbing alcohol if you just pour it through a coffee filter back into a small container for later. But id rather do them all at once and then dump out the box and clean it up. These are cheap enough there disposable but i try not waste things
Very disappointed. Will not hold a charge

Fill it, get two pair of scissors, use one and soak the other. Little scrub motion and they come out clean and smooth. Makes things much more efficient, when your scissors start sticking, just scrub and swap.Easy to clean, the brushes come out and slide back into place with a little effort. Seems a little over priced for what it is, but if it holds up to consistent use, it's worth it. Feels quality, so I have high hopes!

As soon as I received it, I pulled out and replaced the inner brush assemblies very easily and smoothly, contrary to some of the negative reviews. I think they just weren't pulling hard enough -- is a tight fit on purpose. At harvest, I filled it with alcohol, set it next to me, released the spring to open the jaws on one of my trimmers, and stuck the trimmers, blade first, into the box all of the way up to the handle. Then I do the rest of my preparation, remove the now-sanitized trimmer, place the next trimmer into the box, and start trimming. When the trimmer I'm using gets sticky, I swap it out with the pair in the box. I move it vigorously up and down, twisting a bit, and moving it up and down for about 3-5 seconds. Then I immediately go back to trimming until I have to repeat the swap again, until I finish. Huge time saver. When the lid is closed, this box is quite good at keeping the alcohol from evaporating quickly. It will evaporate over time, so don't store it for too long or it might get gummed-up when the alcohol evaporates. That's an easy fix with alcohol, but it's messy and a pain that can be avoided by cleaning it out after each harvest while the alcohol is still holding the sticky mess in suspension. I've had a staggered harvest over four weekends and have kept this box filled the whole time. Each week, I have used, or it has evaporated about a third of the alcohol that was in there. At the end of my harvest, I'll do a thorough cleaning -- it is an easy clean-out: Dump out the alcohol, rinse with water, and let dry before reassembly. As others have pointed out, the lid does not form an impermeable barrier. When the box contains alcohol, it must be kept upright or it will spill. Close it fully when not in use to slow the evaporation. The box is very stable. I've only had a tip-over spill once and it was because I bumped the trimmers currently sticking out. The alcohol didn't come pouring out, but I did lose some during the second it was on its side. (it was so little I just let it evaporate). Cleaning, pulling, and inserting the trimmers is a two-handed job, unless the box is otherwise affixed to something. I hold the box with one hand while I do any of those things with my other hand. This is a must-have for every harvest. It saves so much time because I don't have stop to clean the trimmers. Swap-out is fast.

Awesome! It works. It's best to use it right when your snips get "gunked" up. The only drawbacks are:1. It should be air tight so nothing spills out.2. More bristles for added "scrubbiness".3. Bristles that are a bit more firm, butNot enough to "engrave" your snips.4. A little bit on the pricey side for what it actually is and materials used, but worth it if you can use it more than 40 times.Other than those, I love it.1. It's compact2. you can use it many times before cleaning it out3. Easy to share4. Looks and feels sturdy5. Snips fit perfectly6. Will surprise you with a smile on your face
