This is such a beautiful gift set for calligraphy for someone just starting out or even somebody that's been doing it for a while. I started searching for some Christmas gifts on Amazon and I found this for somebody who is very creative and I think these are all the tools that they would need to get started. Seems very well-made as everything you need and one little kid and makes a beautiful gift.

I'm not new to ink and paint, but I'm new to some of these products, so I wanted to give myself something nice to try out. It's a great set of brushes, paints, ink, and paper, along with a little pallete (I do use these kind of palettes a lot), some trays, and a nice case to keep the brushes in. I'm especially pleased with the little brush stand, as I haven't had one before and I believe it will be very helpful.It comes with a variety of watercolors, more than I usually see in these large packs! They may not be top quality, but I wouldn't expect that for the price. I think people new to inking and painting would gain a lot from a set like this.Overall, I would be pleased to both give and recieve this as a gift. Anyone interested in ink or painting would!

Great for a beginner set. The brushes hold a good amount of pigment and love that he comes with all the set a beginner needs, like a brush holder, ink, pigment and paper. I have also used for my watercolors.

One cracked brush top with no remnant in box, so it was packaged this way at the manufacturer. Not a transport damage issue. All other pieces intact not worth the time and energy to return for one defection factory pawned off cracked brush top. Just wanted to warn others if they are giving this set as a gift to another that it may be defective.
