Radiator Pressure Tester
For Pressure Leakage Test
a. Advantages:
Accurate and quick test on the cooling system and radiator cap;
Convenient designs like quick coupling and thumb-operated pressure relief valve;
Hand pump gauge tester features easy to read pressure gauge with anti-scratch rubber housing.
b. Testing Process:
(1) Select a suitable adapter to replace the radiator cap, connect the pressure tester to the selected adapter.
(2) Press the manual pump to pressurize the inside of the radiator till the readout up to 10-15 psi. Don't over 35 psi.
(3) Wait for a while to see if the gauge pointer moves. Reading drops means there is a leak, find it and fix it. Release the residue pressure and disconnect the adapter.

Considerations

3. Be careful when you open the radiator cap for there may be high temperature coolant spraying out under pressure.

Ford adapter does not fit on 1.5 and 1.6 litre coolant system's.

Just what I needed to burp the air out of a heater core (cold engine) on a 2002 Honda Accord. Removed and double clamped outlet hose on heater core. Used pump to push coolant through and remove trapped air from heater core. Replaced hose topped off coolant pressurized system checked for leaks. Pump was quick to pressurize system. Great value for the money.

Was bought for a 2010 Mazda 3 2.5L engine. Verbiage for the product said Mazda. None of the attachments worked on my Mazda. I tried it on my truck and it worked fine.

IFirst of all it’s a decent set for the money. All the reviews about The issue with not holding pressure or it leaks air I found to be false. The metal caps for the test kit have to be seated properly in the radiator neck properly. If not you will have an issue just as with any kit not holding pressure. The metal caps are not the best quality metal but similar to a radiator cap. With that being said the issue I found pressure relief valve releases the air and coolant you have to bump it in quick short burst to release the pressure and not the coolant. Can get messy if you were to hold the relief button in to release the air. Over all I give the kit 4 stars. The plastic caps work perfect and I had zero issues with but the metal caps need to be seated properly to work properly. I can see where some people think it doesn’t work. Hope this is helpful in your decision
