Love this pot. It's thick and durable as well as distributes and holds heat well.

Love the pot, great quality and perfect for cooking large quantities. However, it is too tall for the dishwasher and the refrigerator. I gave this one to my niece and ordered myself the 8qt instead.

I am a farmer. This means that I also can and freeze items from the garden for the winter. For a while now I have been frustrated when trying to do large batches of vegetables for freezing or canning. None of my pots were made for a large batch. This stock pot was recommended to me as great size and with lots of fantastic features. I trusted the recommendation enough to go forward with this purchase. I am so glad I did and here is why.First the size is huge. I bought the 30-quart size, so I knew it was going to be big enough for anything I was cooking. It was. The best thing about the size was that it is not tall and narrow. It is shorter and wide. The reason that this makes this pot so perfect is that the tall and narrow pots, when sitting under a range hood, creates a vacuum between the pot and the range hood that causes a nasty vibration in the range hood that will destroy a range hood in a few attempts to use both at once. Ask me I know as I had to replace a range hood after it was destroyed by using a tall stockpot under it.Next this pot has a heavy bottom. It is advertised as a 3 mm bottom with an impact aluminum disk imbedded for more even distribution of heat. What that means is that this pot carries the heat from the center cooking area, all the way out to the sides of the pan. EVENLY! My first use of this pan was using it with a bushel of tomatoes, cooking them down to make tomato paste. I have tried this before and have run into the problem of the center of the pan, getting hot and burning the tomatoes while the outside ring does not cook properly. Using this pan, I got no burning in the center. The tomatoes cooked evenly and cleanly. Plus, they cooked down to paste consistency in half the time of other tries. This brings me to talk about the lid of this pot. This lid is shaped so that it holds steam moisture completely. This caused me to have to slightly set the lid offside so that the steam could escape. While this was no problem and was expected, I have never had a stockpot that held the steam this well. It was great! This pot is heavy! (remember I said it was 30-quarts in size) It weighs 12 pounds empty. Filled, it is not something you want to lift off the burner often. Keep this in mind when purchasing this pot, but if this pot is so fantastic, I am sure that the smaller version of this same pot will be too. Just keep in mind the weight when choosing what size to purchase. This stockpot looks good and cleans up just as pretty as it was when I first got it. It is a wonderful addition to a kitchen. I highly recommend it.

This review is for the 30 quart stock pot. I do BIG cooking. I have a pressure canner that holds 29 quart jars. I use my wonderful stock pot for slow cooking in my oven. It fits perfectly in it. I have no negative comments regarding this pot. It really is perfect and a pure joy to use. It is very heavy duty with a thick bottom that spreads heat very nicely. I do NOT have burnt food at the bottom. The handles are VERY securely mounted in such a way that gives easy access for cleaning. The lid is heavy duty and fits the pot perfectly. I have made several 27=28 quart stews in this now. There are no defects observed of any kind. No staining has occurred. Very easy to clean after heavy use. This pot will last my lifetime and then some. The only shame is that I put off buying a great pot like this for so long. I highly recommend this pot without reservations. Great value for the price I paid.

My pot arrived in perfect condition. It’s quite heavy but works great. I used mine for the first time last night, I cooked 4 club packs of lean hamburger meat which I pressure canned 14 pints. It was a welcome change to have a pot large enough for all the ingredients and mix it without it landing on the stove. The heat distribution is even and heats up with a low flame. Nothing stuck to the bottom! It was tricky to wash because it doesn’t fit in the sink real well so most of the washing was on the counter. The little discolouration can easily be removed with vinegar and a bit of warm water, then rinse with plain water and wipe. The outside I just polished it with paper towel and vinegar and wala looks like new. I highly recommend this pot to anyone considering it, the quality is excellent, worth every penny!

So I wavered over what stock pot to buy. I have been making soups quite a bit. And they are significantly better with bone broth from scratch. Plus, weirdo that I am I enjoy making bone broth and my biggest pot was a Tramontina 6 quart that used to be my grandmother's. I have been trying to upgrade my cookware slowly. And I could have bought an All Clad one. But I just couldn't justify anything over $100. Let alone triple that or more. I wanted 18/10 steel. Aluminum core. 10-12 quarts. We don't have a lot of space. And many of the 12 quart stock pots cost more than the 16 quart or larger. And I was not paying more for less. So, I read up on reviews on different websites and ultimately it was this or the Faberware. This one is oven safe to 500 degrees. And doesn’t have any plastic on it. So, it won.It got here two weeks ago. No issues. Good packaging. Heavy bottom. Very good construction at least to my eye. Good proportions. I washed it and immediately whipped out the marrow bones and pork hock I bought the day before in anticipation and loaded her up with aromatics started the stock. After some hours I needed to refrigerate it overnight. And once I finished 14+ hours of cooking, I cooled it, waited for the fat to congeal on top, then strained the stock out. It held up very well. I lost control over the heat at one point and I did burn the bottom a bit, and I was worried about getting that off. But it didn't stick and the pan released it immediately. I was very impressed. So generally, it seems like an excellent value. So why four stars? The lid isn’t a good fit, it’s loose. Which honestly isn’t a big deal as stock and most soups are cooked with the lid off . But considering all my other pots have lids that fit well, it’s not exactly a hard thing to do. So… I knocked a star of that. It seems like they spent all their money on the pot and the lid was an afterthought.I am very happy I didn’t spend more than I did. There’s no need. And I was happy the reviews were accurate and not purchased. I think this one is going to last me a long time.
