This is the second one I’ve purchased! The first one I bought in 2018 is still working great! I just can’t always remember where I placed it so I got a second one to keep close by. I highly recommend this unit! PS… I have had other units that didn’t work nearly as well.

This is my SECOND Pulse Oximeter from this company. I purchased the FIRST pulse ox on May 15, 2018, and I wouldn't have had to purchase the SECOND one if I had placed the batteries in correctly when the pulse ox fell out of my scrub pockets and hit the floor. After the pulse ox fell on the floor, the back of the pulse ox where you place the batteries came off and my batteries went flying across a patient's room. But the pulse ox remained intact otherwise. I assumed it was broken after I replaced the batteries and it wouldn't operate. Therefore, I purchased another pulse ox. I was explaining to my spouse what occurred, and he asked if he could take a look at the old pulse ox. He rearranged the batteries and BOOM, my 2018 pulse ox popped back on and was ready for use! This pulse ox is FIVE YEARS OLD and still works like a champ. I will keep this NEW one as a backup. The tiny flaw: Can we PLEASE get a lanyard that actually matches the pulse ox? The pulse ox is PINK, not PURPLE. Otherwise, superior long-lasting durable product.

My mum is on oxygen 24/7 and needs to keep track of her levels when she moves around and this gadget is ideal and very accurate. It also gives a pulse reading and I have been able to determine when she’s had a few chest infections as the pulse rate is very high. It is helpful when I have had to phone the drs or paramedics to give them readings over the phone. Mum carries hers round with her everywhere and wouldn’t be without it. Brilliant little gadget.

Thank youamended Jan 2021Lasted one year, changed batteries and it was dead. Then remembered, need to reverse one battery, contrary to markings, and working fine. Very accurate readings.

Great product! This is the second pulse oximeter I purchase and I am much more satisfied with this one. The first I bought was from a different seller and I had the hardest time getting a reading even if my patient was not moving and especially if their hands were cold. The battery life on the first one was also short lived. This concord pulse oximeter however is great, I haven't had the above issues with it, the size is portable fits in my uniform pockets even with lots of other medical equipment, battery life is great, I still haven't changed them since I first purchased it which is very surprising because I sometimes accidently push the on button when it's in my pockets as I try to reach for my pen or something else in my pocket. My coworkers have also told me they are impressed with its performance. I think it's a great product for healthcare professionals and for personal use. It comes with a lanyard & a soft cover which is great because it is easy to clean and disinfect I use those harsh cleaning wipes from work and it has not damaged my product.

Neat unit with optional protective cover. Very clear display, can by flipped over for viewing more easily. Accurate pulse count - checked manually - important for me as my rate is irregular. Reasonable price. Slightly heavy on end of finger, but I got used to it and can happily wear it continuously during exercise session.

I've been using this daily now for almost a year, and I LOVE it! Knowing where my oxygen levels are has helped me to celebrate my 1 year anniversary of smoking cessation. YES!!!! I watched as my oxygen levels went from 96 to 99! Being able to see my heartbeat, and my pulse along with my oxygen levels all in one place at one time has been very empowering.I am a health and wellness coach and all my clients get comfort and encouragement out of using this instrument. This is the best model that I have ever had that was affordable for the general public. I had a much more expensive model in my clinic and this one does everything it did, and it does it just as well for a MUCH BETTER PRICE!i like that it travels so easily with the pouch and the lanyard, and the protective cover means it looks like new even after it has been banged around on a regular basis.I would recommend this Oximeter to anyone who is interested in their health, anyone who coaches or teaches health & wellness, and caretakers in general. This is an excellent tool for those who are monitoring the breathing habits of clients, family and self.I highly recommend this Oximeter.

I had the surprise of my lifetime a few days after Christmas when I found myself in the hospital. I've been back and forth all winter while we try to regulate my new collection of meds. Along the way I've acquired some of my own medical equipment, including this .I use my pulse-oximeter for medical reasons, to determine the degree of oxygen saturation in my blood (O2sat) - a controlling factor in whether or not I need oxygen. My pulse-ox is either on my finger, on my desk or in my purse. I have never bothered to attach the lanyard (great if you're using this for sports-related purposes) and it only very rarely sees the inside of the carrying case (nice, but very "military" in appearance.) I have, however, had the chance to test my machine against both the electronic model that is part of the telemetry unit at the hospital and the various pulse-oximeters used by the respiratory therapy department. It correlated beautifully, so much so that the nursing staff and even the respiratory therapists used mine for their readings. As a result, I have complete confidence that the readings I obtain at home are reasonably the same as we would see at the hospital. With a background as a medical scientist, I examined several dozen pulse-oximeters before deciding on the Concord Emerald. I chose this particular machine for two factors - the price and the two-year guarantee instead of the more usual one-year.The unit is very easy to clean - a simple alcohol wipe to clean and sterilize the interior of the unit. Batteries come with the machine and are extremely easy to replace. I have found just one drawback - the red numerals on the black background are very hard to see in sunlight.Grandma's $0.02 - Great machine at a decent price point, comes with a 2-year guarantee. Compares well to hospital equipment.Recommended
