I am a pediatric NP and thought this would be an efficient solution for our younger patients and sadly the read time is just as long as adult ones. For example, when the patient is wiggling or crying it is either an inaccurate reading or takes too long to sense the oxygen level. It is smaller than an adult pulse oximeter but I didn’t feel it is any more made for babies/toddlers than adult ones.

Updated review: 5/2024- The seller had reached out to me regarding the quality of the unit and offered a replacement unit. The replacement unit is better in term pf quality, the back is not falling out, the readings are consistent. I would say this unit is made specifically for young kids, age ranges 10 and under as it fits little fingers better than the regular sized.-Customer service was prompt and professional. Shipping was quick. I didn’t expect the replacement offer, but very appreciate that they took care of their customers in such a way.Flimsy unit, the back cover keeps falling off. It’s very small too, it won’t last long. The machine wouldn’t start up properly most of the time, it won’t give a reading. I have to reset over and over a handful of times to get it to work. Thus, not sure if I could trust the results it gives.

I purchased one of these a few years ago. We loved it and used it often. It was very accurate and good quality. I gave it to a friend with a sick child and purchased another one. The new one is smaller and feels very cheaply made. It doesn’t register as fast and a few times didn’t register at all. I’m very disappointed. Our youngest child has asthma and we count on this to help us. Do better!!
