Bought two of these. One of them quickly failed and the other one has been reliable, matching within one point of the readings at the doctor's office

I wanted a pulse oximeter to use as another tool to track my health. I purchased this one which is $20, and another brand which is $10 in December 2024. Both are similar in that they have nice fluid screens that are prettier than the old blocky LED type screens of the past and that some of the cheapest models still use, they are close in size, both have a hinge that lifts to accept larger fingers, both have an audible heartbeat beep as well as a visual cue for or heart beats detected, and both use a graph for heart rhythm. I also choose these two models because both have a memory function that stores readings. This model saves 20 readings, and the other model saved the last 12.The benefits of this one over the other is the screen. It's by far the prettiest I've seen on an oximeter. It uses multiple colors with the O2 saturation and pulse numbers being big and bright, white on a black background. (The other model uses 2 colors, with the main numbers being blue on a black background.) With the press of of the button during use, the display will change direction. Each vertical and horizontal position can be used for a total of 4 ways to view. This is a very nice feature that makes it nice if you want to use the right or left hand, or if you are a caregiver that needs to read the meter on a patient instead of a self user. (The other model cannot change directions.)The nicest screen available, the ability to change the viewpoint in 4 directions, and being able to store the last 20 readings instead of 12 is what makes this unit better than the other. The readings were very similar on both units side-by-side, so are those things worth an extra $10, or double the price in this case? You decide.

I was told I needed one to help keep track of my oxygen level. Never had issues with this product. Since I bought it the battery is not wasted. Check my levels when I feel I am losing my breath. Very readable. Size is awesome fits anywhere. Color is white easy to find in any bag. I think it is worth the money. Very durable.
