I used this bit to route a grove in my miter saw bench so that I could flush mount some t track. The up cut worked great at removing the material with no tear out. It the laminate and the MDF perfect. Highly recommend.

Wow, last night I breezed though routing a mortise for a giant multi-point lock that sits 3.125 inches deep and 7.5 inches wide, plunged a half inch at a time. I paused a couple of times to vacuum the mortise, the as dust collection pulled nothing (attached to my Makita router), the cut was super clean with no tear outs. I was super pleased, sure beats a chisel :)

I recently purchased the half-inch down-cut router bit for my woodworking projects, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. As an amateur, I have limited experience with different router bits, but this one definitely stands out.The down-cut design ensures that the cut is clean and precise, leaving minimal tear-out on the surface of the wood. This is especially important for me as I often work with designs that require a lot of attention to detail. The half-inch size is perfect for cutting dados, grooves, and rabbets. The bit just powered through my kiln-dried Red Oak.I have now used it multiple times, and it still works just as well as it did when I first bought it. I highly recommend the half-inch down-cut router bit to any hobbyist or professional woodworker looking for a reliable tool. It has exceeded my expectations, and I am confident that it will do the same for anyone who uses it.

I've got a number of 1/4 inch end mills, but even though my CNC spindle supports 1/2 inch this will be my first of this size. I know a lot of CNC veterans won't bat an eye at using at this, but for me it kind of feels like being called up to the major leagues from a farm team. This is a well made and nicely sharpened bit which should remove a lot of material quickly. I do wish the plastic storage case it comes with was labeled, but other than that I highly recommend this to anyone whose machine can accommodate a 1/2 inch bit.Item: EANOSIC Downdcut Spiral Router Bit Extra Long (4 inch) with 1/2 Inch Shank, 1/2 Inch Cutting Diameter Solid Carbide CNC End Mill Bits for Wood Carving, Plunge Cut (3-Flute)
