This pulls rings so nicely, I haven't had to cut one pipe since I got it. Super easy, I'm a girl with wimpy hands. This makes my life simple. Most tools are designed for men. This is one I am able to use without developing and special method.

Made changing the old stem valves to modern ball valves quick and easy. I was also changing from chrome to oil rubbed bronze, so using the old nut as I've done in the past wasn't an option. I hadn't realized getting the old compression sleeve off was so easy! This is a must have tool for anyone who replaces the shut-off valves when doing any plumbing work.

I was really surprised how easy this thing is to use. It was an old rusted pipe so I was expecting it to be painful to crank away on it. But it worked very simply and very smoothly.Works great.Great replacement.

You just screw the compression nut on the end of the tool and turn the handle, clockwise, until the ferrule falls off. The packaging says to turn the handle a few times, however, it took mine more like 8-10 turns. The tool is easy to use if you have enough access.Removes stubborn ferrules like a champ!

I am very new to diy home projects so I was starting from scratch. This works even better than I expected. It pulls out the nut without having to use a lot of elbow grease. I don't have a lot of hand strength so I really appreciate that the handle is large enough to hold easily and really get a good grip.

I bought this for my brother to use as I had leaks that needed to be addressed. He would normally "wing it" but I thought a "proper" tool would help get the job done quicker. It was a good thought but on the next to last pipe it broke. My brother said it was bending but then it just broke and he had to saw it out of the pipe. I ended up going to big box store and getting a more versatile tool. It cost more but I didn't want him to fall back on "winging it". I'm glad I bought it but I probably would buy a more versatile tool like I did, if I had to again.

This tool worked fine, but the threads on the one I received were not good. I could not get a new compression nut(DAHL brand) (I was checking out the tool before I used it) to thread more than about one turn before it would bind up. It really doesn't matter when used but it would be nice to be able to screw it in by hand without tools. Other than that it was easy to use and worked as designed.BTW I'm a DIY'er. I would highly recommend this tool or one like it if you're dealing with 1/2" pipe with compression fittings already installed.UPDATE: I was looking to replace another valve, but this tool was too long to fit. So if clearance might be a issue you might want to look into low profile tools.
