In trying out this microphone for the last seven days... others have informed me that my communication is very garbled and difficult to understand. My team uses the motorola XPR 3500e. In standing in close proximity with another person would with the same radio, and testing, you can barely understand what is being transmitted. It almost sounds like you're speaking underwater. Very tinny. Although looks can be deceiving, looks well built, this microphone is terrible. I would suggest you spend the extra money and get the actual Motorola. Sorry, I do not recommend this item..

I love this mic, it's more durable than the Motorola brand one I have. I use this to be able to respond quickly without having to take my radio off at work, the cord is thick and heavy duty, I love the bright green as it makes finding it quick and easy when I do take it off in the office, the sound quality is great both sending to my dispatch, my other supervisor, and my officers to be able to give them directions, and receiving transmissions from everyone, the connector to the radio is good quality and hasn't let me down yet. It also has a 3.5 mm jack for earpeices. I love the quality of the materials and the construction.

Didn’t even last a year and here I am ordering a new one. It works decent while it lasts but mine only worked for 7 months which seems crazy for the cost.

Was very frustrated when it randomly would not transmit anything but then it randomly does work. Super dangerous for the type of job I’m in.

The repel mic works just fine, I don’t think it is of the quality of a Motorola brand but for the price difference it will definitely get the job done!

It’s a good, simple mic that does its job well. The attachment mechanism is a little confusing but you’ll pull up on the bottom piece, pull back the rounded portion and then attach the duckbill piece into the slot, and slide everything back. It’ll be locked into place then. It fits the XPR 3500e Motorola

I had previously purchased the Motorola mic and an adapter but when I tried them on the work Motorola XP3500 security radios, I could hear incoming messages but couldn’t respond with the Motorola mic. Not sure if it was the Mic or adapter. I returned them both and purchased the all in one Commountain Mic which plugs in straight to the radios. Worked perfect and easy to plug in with no issues. The cost was much less expensive than the Motorola and adapter. Definitely recommend if your looking for a quality Mic that works great, easy to plug in and sounds clear and lastly reasonably priced! Great purchase very satisfied. Definitely recommend 100 percent!
