I've opened several cans with it now and it does take much less effort than other designs. Seems well built but hard to gauge the quality of those gears and teeth. I'm giving it a 4 because I'm a bit skeptical of how it will stand up long term.

I finally found a can opener that's easy to use with weak or arthritic hands and wrists. I've tried all kinds (expensive and inexpensive) but this is the best!

I'm sure you can all relate on how opening a big can with a cheaply made can opener usually ends up in the can opener in the trash and the can less than opened, having to use a knife to open the can. Well not anymore!!! I purchased this and use it almost daily. During the holidays I was able to open the huge cans of green beans without any hesitation. The crank handle is so much easier to use than those little handles that you usually see.

I really love the latex soft grip. They really long handles help penetrate the can very easily and it’s perfect for arthritic hands and those with mobility issues and dexterity issues. It easily grabs the lid and works perfectly every time. It’s very sturdy. It’s heavy and it’s a pain to Store but it’s worth it. Decent value for the money. It will open tiny cans and big ones unlike the counter mounted variety in restaurants. It’s not the prettiest can opener I own, but it’s certainly the easiest to use. I had another can opener similar to this one where the Knob folded flat to fit in the drawer, and unfortunately the blade wore out. This one is just as easy to use, but it’s a little harder to store in the drawer. Overall, I love it and would definitely purchase it again

Works great! Don't forget to wash and DRY your opener and rub a little bit of olive oil on the moving parts with a paper towel. Easy care!

We bought this for our church kitchen. We have a fish fry every spring and fall plus dinners at other times also. This can opener works really well when we have to open a lot of cans. Much easier to use than the smaller home style openers.
