I have used these for years, but recently lost the military surplus one that I had.I have put these replacements to the test and the two sizes (small P-38 and larger P-51) work fairly well.Cans sometimes won't open fully with manual can openers -- the blades don't cut deep enough; however, these can openers will finish the job. I've had pull-tab cans fail and these punch right through. The same goes for dollar store cans with can be difficult.I keep one set in the kitchen and one set on my key rings as an in-case. The blades fold flat so they don't stick you while in your pocket.
