This brace has a soft padded mesh fabric, with stretch. It attaches with a wrap feature and secures with Velcro. It fits me well- I have longer bones / wrist than is typical and suffer from basal joint (CMC) degradation. I have no cartilage left on one wrist at that joint. I ordered the M/L and found it to be comfortable, width adjustable, and helpful for support of this joint. It was very reasonably priced; enough so that I will order a second one in case they stop making them. These joints do not get better and surgery is only marginally helpful so it is what it is. I’m thankful for products such as these which allow me to continue in my active life with reduced pain!

Does the job and my hand doesn't sweat. Does lose the shape of the strap after a month.

This soft brace provides comfortable support for an arthritic thumb with minimal movement restriction. Some of the velcro does wear out after a while. A large paper clip to hold the small strap in place works to help when that velcro begins to not hold.

Amazing hand brace for lower thumb pain - After seeing an occupational therapist she recommended this hand brace to me. I originally got the more expensive one but couldn’t work in it so opted for this one. What a difference this has made to my pain. It used to be a steady 7-8 on the daily but now when wearing it I am pain free. She told me the thumb joint goes down to your lower inside palm (which was swollen and painful). By shifting the position of my thumb it’s given my hand time to recover and build up the muscles I wasn’t using before. Can’t recommend enough. Size down for a snug fit. I originally got a Med plus but went for a small plus and it fits perfectly.

This hand/thumb brace is the ultimate in comfort, but it frays on the upper thumb area and tightening strap immediately on first wearing. The support, keeping my thumb pain free, is wonderful, but I wish it were made with a more durable material as it looks pretty tacky, unfortunately.

Nice product, seems to alleviate some pain, fairly comfortable - not rigid...a little sweaty tho.

Dear Therapy Connection and Amazon,I received you email telling me you would not accept my return. This product was not worn. It was tried on and the was way too large in the thumb area (which is strange since the medium is too small throughout). Why would I wear a support that is so large? I already purchased the Medium but after my phone call to your company to ask about which size, I should order since the medium didn’t fit even after following your chart, I ordered a large. I have opted to keep the medium, even thought it is small, so why would I wear the Large that does not fit? After I tried it on, I immediately put it back in the bag so any odor that you claim either came that way or you are not being truthful. If it does have an odor, I’m not quite sure where it picked it up. After looking at your reviews, it looks like the brace has already been found to arrive with an odor. See these reviews:“Doesn’t fit well/strong petroleum odor”By Cynthia in the United States on June 18, 2019“I’ve had these before but this one was too tight. Couldn't wear due to smell!”By Linda Roth in the United States on July 31, 2017“…I think this product has a terrible odor. I will have to return it.,Does the odor wash out?!By Carole in the United States on December 18, 2016“These do a very nice job of holding my thumbs from extending. Sadly, they take on a sour odor pretty fast! Get a little raggedy after daily usage “The product was already showing wear in the edges which was either because it was sent to me used or bad quality which is consistently discussed on your Amazon reviews. IBelow are just a few of the comments that I cut and paste in this note:“This product is seriously substandard. I had to order the right hand and the left hand from different companies, which was inconvenient. The thumb cut outs were both irregularly cut, no finished edges, only ragged material. The straps that wrap around the hand were far too long, with no Velcro to anchor them down. I bought two much better thumb splints from Walgreens for half the cost of these!”“Soon after purchase, item began to quickly shred around edges. Received replacement and have tried to return the defective item without success. Have now been changed the full price for the defective item. Very frustrated and annoyed!!”“I had to return the first one that I purchased because the material began to separate around the thumb opening. When I received the replacement, my wife used a sewing accessory she called "fray check" around the thumb opening which, so far, has kept the material from coming apart. Really, the manufacturer should reinforce the thumb opening to prevent this from happening. see less?“Cheaply made.”“As much as I like the way they fit and the (cool) comfort they provide, they just don’t hold up well. The straps separate into two stringy strips of fabric and fall apart with regular (normal) use and even special care when washing, and the thumbs fray at edges. Surely these could be serged/sewn instead of glued to provide a more durable product? Or perhaps that is the point: to keep selling cheaply made product so you can sell more? I have several and they have all done the same thing, so I should know. Sad”“Threads at seems are already coming apart causing gap in thumb splint. Have been using a few days a week -barely a month and already coming apart. Very disappointing”“I like the design but unfortunately the Velcro came apart within a few days! This is actually the second one I purchased...I was hoping I just got a bad one the first time. I wouldn't purchase.”“One of them came apart on the end of the strap, so when it's velcroid part of it is hanging off. I see I'm passed my 30 days by 8 days, but I wanted the company to know about their faulty material.”“This was very comfortable to wear, however, it fell apart after wearing it 3 days.”“Threads at seems are already coming apart causing gap in thumb splint. Have been using a few days a week -barely a month and already coming apart. Very disappointing.”“The strap that keeps the device on separated and became useless within days.”“Glad I got it but shouldn't be so expensive. The material and labor to make is not justifiable.“UPDATED review after wearing daily for 3 week. The strap that adheres to the velcro is hardly sticking any longer and not holding the strap into place. Very disappointing after such a short time owning this device. I think the main issue is the velcro area is so small. I keep this clean so I don't believe that is the issue. I am hoping the company will send a replacement at no charge to me”“Surely these could be serged/sewn instead of glued to provide a more durable product? Or perhaps that is the point: to keep selling cheaply made product so you can sell more? I have several and they have all done the same thing, so I should know. Sad.”“I bough one in June- within 2 months the Velcro wasn’t working and the stitching was falling apart so I purchased another one. Within 2 week the Velcro wasn’t holding at all- so I returned it and got another one. 2 weeks later and the thumb stitching is totally come out and Velcro already is starting to not hold. For the price of this brace it should be more durable.”I did not wear the Thumb brace so whatever condition you received back was not due to my use. I did not look at it hard when I received it because it did not fit immediately upon trying it on.I WANT MY REFUND. Do not blame me for your products lack of quality and your bad sizing practices.Regards,Cinde Wakefield

I bought one splint 4 months ago but the the sticky joint is no longer sticky any more. The strap comes off easily all the time. The splint is no longer working. Does the product have any warranty? I cannot find warranty info anywhere. If not, could you send me a free replacement since I got this one only 4-5 months ago? I am aware you are just a distributor, not the manufacturer. But the philosophy is that if I buy a product that has defects from Walmart, I go to Walmart for change or refund; I do not have to contact the manufacturer in this regard.

Very happy, it's light fits great and provides the perfect support for my thumb. I'm trying to find the same one, but for the left hand, but I can't find one, so I had to contact the seller??
