I really like these lifting grips. I’ve been training for about a year but only more recently discovered what true heavy intensity feels like. I was struggling to chase that feeling when my forearms were too weak to hold the bar, and these grips solve that problem. It's a great design, easy to use, feels really secure. My only gripe is that I wish the Velcro straps were oriented in the other direction. As is, the hook side (the sharp part that grabs every fabric it touches) is always a little exposed, even on the recommended size for my wrists, so when I’m resting between sets, I have to be careful not to touch my clothes or they get snagged. I got some loop side patches to cover that and prevent damage to my expensive activewear.

I've used these at least once a week in the gym, sometimes twice for a couple years now. They have held up really well. Good quality. Only suggestion for manufacturer is the label that tells you which one is right and left isn't easy to see when product is in open position. Hard to explain but it's a minor point. Once I was in the 420ish pound range for deadlift, my grip strength was really holding back my progress. I was finding that I was unable to finish reps because the bar was slipping away, even with chalk. I've tried several different strap systems, and this is by far the best out of the bunch. It's faster to engage then the gymreapers cloth straps, and more resistant to fraying from the knurling from the rogue bar I have (rogue has the most abrasive knurling of any bar I have ever used). I've been using it consistently for a few months now, and have really appreciated how much it helps me explode up for heavy deadlifts while sparing my forearms so I can still function in the office the next day.

Thread is unravelling and I've been using it for less than two months. Also, the outside of the tongue (the bit that wraps around the weight) is slippery, so I had to add duct tape so that I could take my grip out of the kinetic chain. However, the rest of the design is great. I bought them because I was sick of my old cloth straps cutting into my wrists. These have a wide and thick padding at the wrist, so problem solved. I would recommend Cobra change their manufacturer/supplier to one that can produce better sewed edges. And also to change the material on the outside of the tongue so that there is better grip so that I don't have to use my grip when I want to focus the resistance on other areas.

I order the pro based on my wrist measurement but the grip is too big and doesn’t work.Even though I just bought it I’m not allowed to return it.Was excited to use these and imagine they’d be good if they fit but alas I won’t know.

I purchased the PRO Black Leather Cobra Grips and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the product. The style is by far my favourite on the market, and the quality leather, stitching, and design comes together perfectly (while being much cheaper than alternative grips on the market). It is also very comfortable and functional: the padding feels very nice (and makes sure the grips don’t slide around during a lift), and it helps in my lifts so much that my max deadlift increased by 30lbs from my last session. Another nice added benefit is wrist support; I personally put the grips on during my bench and squat to help with wrist stability. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about bodybuilding or powerlifting.
