As an NDN, I make all my own regalia pieces or if it's something like this... I'll get it from a known source. But, I generally give away a lot of pieces at the end of Pow Wow season, and spend the winter remaking things.I thought... I could get one of these and give some NDN flare... but... there was ZERO draw because not only wasn't it bored correctly, but there was plastic lodged in the center of the pipe. I know this because I cut off the mouthpiece, inspected, re-bored the entire length of the pipe with a 3/8" drill bit, and then re-plugged the end. I used a Dremel rotary tool to carve out the draw-end and then re-seated the mouthpiece with some JB Weld Steel Stick Putty.I guess if you're looking for something to hang on the wall and play NDN, it would work... but it's actually not even good quality wood, metal, leather, feathers, or beads. Way better stuff out there. ;)I recommend finding a legit pipe from a place like Crazy Crow, and then put a little work into making it yours. Or... go to Hobby Lobby and Michael's if you need some feathers, leather, and beads... it will be 1000% better than this knock-off. :)

Very nice pipe looks like a hatchet, Very heavy chrome hatchet thick, The only problem i had with it was the handle. Could have been better quality wood, but other then that i sold it to a friend, Now i am going to order another one and some metal arrows, Keeping my American Indian theme going through out my house, ...Will send pictures when im a little closer to finishing up the rooms.

I would only buy for my self. It was surprisingly heavy and could be dangerous if children could handle it. It is beautiful.

Received mine today and it is better then I expected. It is high quality. I would not buy for kids because the ax is sharp. Well worth the money.

I ordered this pipe despite the reviews. It is solidly made and looks great. One alteration needed to be made and it is a huge one. The draw was hard so I tried sticking some wire into the mouthpiece. It felt as though something was blocking bout halfway into the pipe. I decided to take a small saw and remove the tack and the black tape and cut there so the cut will be covered and not be visible. Something was still blocking, but I could not see it nor push it out. I decided to cut the pipe under another piece of tape. Now my pipe was in three pieces but I found the problem. You will not believe this, but the idiot who drilled the holes obviously drilled from both sides and the holes did not match. Yes! This is what was wrong. I took a small drill bit and carefully moved it around and I was able to break through and make a continuous hole. I had to carefully glue the parts together and replace the tape and the tack, but you can't see the cuts. The draw is fine and it works great. If it wasn't for that it would of arrived in great shape. I have to think that either the worker did not care, or was in a hurry and was careless and did not check his work. You get what you pay for, but it does work and it looks nice.

Sharp and functional. Definitely not a toy, but very pretty. Happy for the price I paid... Although the back pin of my axehead is a little loose. May be an area of improvement.

Feels sturdy. Blade is very sharp. I haven't tried throwing it at anything yet.The feathers are just glued onto the strings so I guess you could take them off to mix and match the beads if you want.I haven't smoked with this one specifically but I've used one like it, and it hits like any other pipe- you just have to take off the mouth piece and pull out the little plastic bit. It's still usable if you don't, just harder.Bowl also screws off. I'd imagine it sucks to clean out, but what pipe doesn't?
