# 2006 Self threading needles assorted, the needles have a built in threader. Place thread in "U" shaped groove and pull down to thread. These needles will glide through fabric smoothly. The needle has gold eye plating with a unique elliptical design for easy threading. The hardness of steel was obtained through high temperature treatment and tempering making our needle hard to break or bend.

This brand is great when you need to bury your threads during quilting. After knotting the threads, these needles allow the threads to be inserted into the needle head without snapping the threads at insertion point. This has left sufficient length in the thread to allow easing burying (running the thread tails between the fabric and batting). Other brands of needles I tried snapped the threads every time I tried to insert the threads into the needle.

I love these little needles -They make hand quilting to finish quilts so much easier. No threading the needle- just pop the thread in the opening above the eye.

I recently started quilting my own quilts, and being able to bury threads is important. Since the threads are usually short, having a self-threading needle has been a life-saver. I got another brand and they didn't work at all, these needles are fantastic, and really easy to thread.

Easy to thread, as expected but fine thread will slip away from hook.

For those of us who just can't see as well as we used to, these needles are great. Otherwise just try to hold a magnifying glass at the same time you are trying to thread a needle.

I bought this pack of self-threading needles after burying all of 6 knots on my twin xl quilt. I can’t say my 250+ diamond (500+ knots) quilting design became a fun experience, but these little guys made the process a whole heck of a lot more bearable, and it went by much quicker than if I used regular needles!

These are handy when your eye sight is not good enough to easily thread a needle. You simply lay the thread over the top, hold the thread against the needle and with the other hand pull into the little catching clamps at the top. That said, if you pull hard on the thread it will come out, but a easy to rethread. It happens every so often. A great idea for making quick work of threading.
