This is a fine replacement for Bufet Crampon and probably and other Bb clarinet.

The bite guards are fairly soft, yet resilient enough to not cut or tear when strong pressure is applied. Definitely feels nicer and allows you to play more comfortably. The adhesive seems to be fairly strong, yet is still able to removed or repositioned without tearing into a hundred tiny pieces if you happen to misalign it. Unfortunately, I found that the timbre of my Xaphoon changed quite a lot and I had to significantly alter my embouchure and technique to try and compensate - YMMV depending on what woodwind you're playing, and how much your upper bite/lip placement affects the overall tone of your instrument. The benefit of not tearing up my Xaphoon probably outweighs the change in timbre, but the change in embouchure has me second guessing if I will keep utilizing these guards.The ligatures are pretty low quality, showing minor pitting right from the factory and being completely out of round; the metal is very soft, so I imagine they will simply bend into shape when tightened onto a mouthpiece. The screws are tiny compared to other inexpensive ligatures (Glory), so big or arthritic fingers may struggle to tighten the ligature. They're probably fine as emergency backups for the junk drawer, or for teachers that might need inexpensive spares for their students.5 stars for the bite guards, 3 stars for the ligatures.

It works great on my clarinet, although I have no need for the pads.It also has a nice looking finish.
