This kit for clarinet cleaning is well thought out, value for students. The reed containers are heavy duty and the sheet of mouthpiece pads work well to cushion teeth, rather than to have the teeth directly on the mouthpiece. The student will use some things often and may decide to get other items with more experience but in the short term this is a great little kit.5 stars

I've been playing clarinet for nearly 40 years. I was a bandsman in the US Army and now play in a local wind ensemble. I saw this item was available to me so I ordered it. The swab is probably the best item of the lot. It is thicker than my silk swab so it pulls out moisture better. The cork grease is probably the worst I've ever tried. It is very sticky and functions opposite of the purpose of cork grease. I threw it away. The key oil, in my opinion, is unnecessary so I didn't try it. The mouthpiece brush seems ok, though I've never used one on any of my mouthpieces. The small lint brush is very effective and I decided to keep this in my kit. The thumb rest pads are a joke. These are so small, I don't know what instrument they're designed for. These also went in the trash. The mouthpiece pads are very thin and hardly provide any cushion. Trash. The reed case is interesting. I like the simple design, but the slot is too tall/loose to hold the reed in. Trash. I kept the screwdriver. The cloth seems ok, but I prefer to use silver polishing cloth. I'll use it for dusting. Save your money. Buy quality, name brand items individually.

This cleaning kit is complete. The cloths are thinner so they fit through the vintage clarinet. The thumb rest and oil are bonus. Worked well for our clarinet.

My daughter recently started playing the clarinet and it's dawning on her that she needs to properly care for her instrument. This kit contains everything she needs to properly care for and maintain her clarinet. All the components look to be of excellent quality and should last for quite some time.

This is a nice clarinet cleaning kit. The quality is good and comes with several accessories including brushes, cork grease, and key oil. I got this for my son’s clarinet and it works good.I definitely recommend this kit.

I found a clarinet at a thrift shop.. it was such a bargain.. completely intact.. but it needed some refurbishment. I am still waiting on the corks.. but this kit is a HUGE help.. It has everything you need to keep a clarinet in tip top shape.. The thing is, I am not a clarinet player, yet, but I will be. There is a large soft cloth with a weighted string.. you drop the string through the clarinet section, then pull the cloth. It wipes out the inside.. There is a brush for the mouthpiece.. a double reed clip, a thumb rest.. a polish cloth, cork grease, and key oil. It has all the basics.. Overall, I am very happy with this package. I can't wait for the cork to arrive.

I hadn't taken my clarinet out of its case for several years and I had no cleaning or maintenance supplies. This kit had everything that I needed to bring it back to life. The corks were very dry and the cork grease in the kit worked great allowing me to assemble my clarinet. The wipeout cloth is the best I've ever had. It is made from microfiber and has a weighted end on the pull through string so it easily falls through the body. The kit includes assorted brushes, oil, and a precision screwdriver for oiling the keys. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the items in this kit.

This is a nice clarinet cleaning and care kit. I ordered this for my son's clarinet mostly because it came with a thumb rest and his clarinet only had a thin layer of cork on the underside of the thumb rest. The microfiber cleaning cloths are so soft and do an excellent job polishing the keys. The little brush is perfect for cleaning the inside of the holes of the upper clarinet piece. They fit perfectly in there. It works well for cleaning the lower key holes as well, but since they are larger, you need to run it all around the edges. The larger brush works well for cleaning both the mouthpiece and the barrel. The only issue I had with the kit was that the thumb rest had a hole to go around the adjustment rod, but it wasn't open on the edge needed to slide it on/around the rod. The adjustment rod is not removable, so I just made a little cut on that thin edge to give it an opening and now it works great. The hole in the thumb rest slides right around the adjustment rod now. My son is very happy with his new kit.
