I play woodwind instruments and I have been through dozens of different brands of cork grease. Eventually they all seemed to harden up, or worse, melt away and leave a greasy mess in my instrument case or my cork joints. Some had objectionable odors or smell like petrochemicals. This one just seems to work really well, doesn't melt, doesn't build up and harden in the cork joints and appears to be made of plant products rather than something out of a chemical plant. I just hope they keep making it. Seems like very time I really like a woodwind care product, the company goes belly up and then I can't get it anymore.

This grease was like lip balm. Slick but did not provide the proper lubrication for the corks on my clarinet. Yamaha makes the best cork grease.
