I bought this for my husbands birthday and he absolutely loved it. It's a good weight and he was impressed with the cut quality. I love that it's cordless so you don't have to deal with finding an outlet. It's definitely came in handy with him rebuilding your deck.

This is not a premium saw, but its also not priced like one. For cutting plywood or soft woods up to a nominal 2 inch piece its... fine. The materials seem ok for an inexpensive saw, I have broken down quite a few sheets of 3/4 inch cabinet grade plywood and there has been no issue as long as I go at a reasonable pace.If you try to go too quickly the saw will bog down, though that is partially down to the blade. I did eventually swap in a nice combination blade honestly it fixed most of my issues here. The stock one is just... bad but sadly even more expensive saws often come with cheap edge splitting poor quality blades that need replacing.Overall just realize its not super powerful, cut smooth and slow, and realize you are getting what you are paying for. If you are starting out woodworking and not sure its for you this is probably a good option. If you are looking for a cheaper DeWalt... just get the DeWalt.

First one which arrived had no tension screw for the dept adjustment rail. They send me a replacement. The replacement came without a saw blade. So I had to open up the return package to move the blade into the new on. Even after all of this, I noticed, it is very unbalanced and the tensioner screws do not really work well.

It does not look like it is made of same material as the one I have had for several years and sounds like the motor is always in a bind even when not cutting wood.

It's new and all 20 volt battery type but I tried it on a piece of lumber yesterday very slow and I had to back it out of board like 3 times because it quit turning and wished I never bought it thought it would be better than that and had a fully charged battery in it very very disappointed

This cordless circular saw is a solid 3rd-party option for those using the Makita 18V battery platform. It performed well on initial cuts through 2x4 scrap wood, but I noticed it bogged down after about five cuts when the battery charge started depleting. Swapping to a fresh battery restored the power, though I expected more consistent performance as the charge drained. The saw comes with useful accessories, including an edge guide, blade, and wrench for blade installation. The included 40-tooth blade provides smoother cuts but chews through the material a bit slower. For faster cuts on construction-grade lumber, a 25-tooth blade might be a better alternative. The saw’s cutting depth is adjustable up to 4 inches, and it supports bevel angles up to 50 degrees, which is on par with most circular saws.Key features include a metal guard near the blade, which enhances durability and safety, and a blade brake that stops the blade within a second after releasing the trigger. One drawback is the smallish wing nuts for tilt adjustments, which are harder to twist than I’d prefer.Overall, this saw is an excellent choice for light DIY projects at an affordable price. However, professionals may want to consider higher-end options for consistent power and heavy-duty performance.
