I love the dreamy soft effect this filter gives to my photos, and the price is really great!!!

Love the filter, is high quality and no feeling of cheap production. It is very subtle when you look through it with bare eyes, and that is what i was looking for. A little goes a long way. I personally imagined i would get a bit more sharpness through it, for example outlines of subject and eyes. Other than that I am in love with the filter. Will definitely use it a lot in upcoming projects.

Wish I’d caught the return window. Limited noticeable effect from this lens filter. Wish I’d spent a bit more money for a nicer filter

I just got the CineSoft 1/4th strength diffusion filter today and tried it out. I think it’s absolutely incredible for skin softening while still retaining overall detail in the subject. It would be an excellent addition to your kit if you shoot portraits and video. There is definitely a subtle blur across the entire image but it’s not something you would pick up on unless you were looking for it. This filter also adds a slightly cool tint to the image; you may want to warm things up in post. However I like this because it helps to even out any redness in skin tones. If you zoom in you can see a noticeable pore reduction on the skin as well. It also does an excellent job of softening any marionette lines while still retaining blacks in the image. As far as wrinkles go, if the subject has deepest ones they will still be visible but definitely softened. I noticed when videoing my dad that his sun spots however largely disappeared

Great bloom effect, not overpowered. Perfect for outdoor portraits especially sunny days. I recommend this filter for those interested in getting that diffusion effect on your photos

This filter adds a glow to your photos. The photo of the dress is also with pantyhose over the lens and that combination is a match made in heaven. I’m obsessed. I can’t use it all the time because bc clarity on faces definitely is decreased, but it’s so fun and gorgeous and and really gives your photos a unique and distinct twist

Notice the subtle bloom effect around the highlights. Also helped smooth skin somewhat. Wouldn't hesitate to use it indoors, at night, or with strobe lighting. Effect is very pronounced in the bright sunlight however and may not be suitable unless you are looking for that very foggy misty effect.

After using this for a week straight, I am very impressed. I mainly shoot landscapes, for which it worked very well, especially when I was going for a "dreamier" effect with sunsets. The diffusion can appear somewhat subtle at times when there's no distinct difference in light, but in my opinion, it was just enough to grant the soft look I was going for, while smoothing skin tones and softening sun beams. Definitely works well in portrait photos too. You can really see the smooth light bloom effect when shooting in darker settings with bright light.I also really like the design in general -- nice and slim, but the glass and metal casing feel very durable and of high quality. I definitely recommend this product!

First off, mine arrived with finger prints and dust all over it. It was a huge pain to get clean. The filter itself is well built, high quality glass. The actual "cinesoft" effect is negligible unless filming a bright light in a dark setting. After A/B'ing several shots, the difference is so subtle you really don't notice. Perhaps this is most equivalent to tiffen 1/8 BPM. Personally, I want something more dramatic to soften the extremes and bloom.
