Great for throwing tennis balls (2.5" tennis balls for the size Medium chucker). The tennis ball included made it two fetches and split. Weak. Mutt likes to show the ball who is the boss while bringing it back. Thankfully the rubber balls are tougher and tennis balls are everywhere.

I take the ball thrower to the park. I bring a bag to carry water and his dish, extra long leashes, and the ball thrower. fits great in the bag. The shorter ball thrower was harder to get any distance and the longer ball thrower kept coming out of the bag. The 18 inch is just the right size.
