Why we need it?

A UV light meter is a device that measures the intensity of ultraviolet (UV) light. Getting the current data on what UV intensity of your printer will help you adjust your printing settings better.

UV-curable 3D-Printing resins, which means that they have a specified reactivity to light. This reactivity controls how the resins behave in the printer. Specific parameters about its reactivity are the Critical Energy (Ec) and the Depth of Penetration (Dp),

Reactivity to light is measured by exposing the resins to different doses of energy (Exposure), in most cases, this is controlled by increasing the exposure time in the 3D printer.

Suggestions:

  1. It requests a 5V voltage supply, the best way is to use the board USB port directly before you go to print.
  2. Keep away from resin. If resin leaks on the probe, clean it with isopropyl alcohol with cotton.
  3. Extreme temperatures above 70℃ and below -10℃ can impact measurements, use in the indoor environment only.

Because of the differences between UV light uniformity and screen transition rate, It is normal you get different data at different test points.

Je n'ai rien pour vérifier donc je ne peux que supposer que les mesures sont bonnes.Dans tout les cas elle sont régulière quand je fait les prises de mesure dans les même condition j'obtiens les même résulta.Achat conseiller si besoin.

As I tested out the Chitu Systems UV meter, I was impressed. The measurements are repeatable and match all my devices' mW/cm² claims. The device is compact and has enough cable to avoid direct UV exposure during measurements. I appreciated the responsive digital display, making finding low and high-output areas easy. This tool is excellent for anyone who wants to tune their exposure times over time.A mW/cm² * X seconds of exposure = C mJ/cm² / B mW/cm² = new exposure time.A is the current printer's output, X is the current tuned time, B is the new exposure time.
