To use pour the batter into the-cupcake dispenser ,position over center of-cup and pull the handle for quick and easy filling into the-cup. The-cupcake/batter dispenser is top rack dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to extend the life of the product.

This is a great tool for the kitchen. I mostly make pancakes with it but sometimes cupcakes. Never any problems. I was looking to see when I bought mine so I could gift the same type to my friends house warming and saw that I bought mine 9 years ago. And still making pancakes with it.Pros: easy to use and no leakingCon: the cleaning up the spout at the bottom is annoying and a little hard to clean. I soak mine to make it easier and use hot hot water.Still I'd buy this again in a heartbeat and will should it ever crap out on me.

Great product. Works well. Be sure to pull on the handle from the bottom end. I pulled on the top end with the 1st one I bought and it broke. But I loved the product so much I bought a second one. This time I'm just more careful on where I pull on the handle.

Works perfectly. I prep large quantities of pancakes and freeze them for a fast breakfast. This streamlined the process tremendously. Took a few uses to get the timing down so I ended up with fairly uniformed pancakes.Originally I gave this product 5 stars. However after minimal use, the handle broke. The clear plastic broke at the bottom, it is still attached at the top, the spring loaded red part, that actually retracts to let the batter flow is still intact, but with the broken handle, it only retracts 3/4 of the way.I love the concept, but am disappointed in the quality, it should last longer than 6 or 7 months, being used once every 2-4 weeks.It has always been hand washed, my dishwasher has been out of commission for over a year :(

I'm always buying "cooking toys," and unfortunately a lot of them end up being pretty useless and don't do what's promised, so I was a bit skeptical about ordering this one. Based on the reviews I gave it a try, and I'm glad I did - this thing is great! It makes filling muffin tins quick and easy, and surprisingly, when you release the handle, the batter stops flowing immediately - no waiting for the drips to stop. If you have the little electric cake ball or donut or muffin makers, this also works very well with them. I'm very pleased with this item and would definitely recommend it; the only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because of the size: it's just a little bit too small to hold an entire recipe of cake better, so you have to stop and refill it to use up the last few ounces. Otherwise, it's a terrific product.

After debating whether to invest the what seems to be WAY too much money on this item, I decided to give it a shot.I am SO GLAD that I invested the money. After agreeing to make cupcakes for multiple events and needing to make several dozen at a time, I can't imagine how I ever would have made cupcakes without it. It works great, is easy to clean, and works SO MUCH BETTER than the old methods (spoon, ladle, ice cream scoop, messy drips!)My only two "con's":Sometimes it seems that it needs to be refilled too often, so it could be larger in size.Sometimes the batter is slightly too thick (for cupcakes) and it requires some tapping, also. The exit hole could be larger, but then might be too large for thinner batter.Anyway, if you are debating on whether or not to purchase, JUST GET IT! You'll be glad you did. ESPECIALLY if you ever have to make hundred of cupcakes.

After reading other reviews, I seriously debated getting this dispenser. I am so glad I did! We made almost 350 cupcakes for my daughter's wedding, and the thought of how messy it would have been and how long it would have taken without this tool makes me shudder.The cupcakes were filled red velvet in black and white damask liners. When we practiced without the dispenser a month in advance, we realized that the tiniest misplaced drip or overflow would stain through the liner and look awful. That is when we decided to "splurge" on the dispenser.Yes, it is purple, but it is not something to display in the kitchen. The color makes it easy to spot in the back of the cabinet, where it ends up between infrequent uses. True, it does not hold an entire box of mix, but when you are making 15 batches it doesn't seem to matter.It easily dispensed a semi-thick batter, never dripped, stayed in one piece, worked perfectly, cleaned easily, and turned a difficult task into an easy one. If I had only used it the one time it would have paid for itself, but now I even have it for the little projects.
