I bought a used riding mower that had a rusty, battered blade on it in need of replacement. It was so bad that I had to use an impact wrench for removal of the flange nut. Once removed, I discovered that the spindle - and original flange nut - had rusty, chewed up threads, which wouldn't allow me to put the new blade on.Upon further research, the outrageous cost of a replacement spindle assembly, had me looking for better and cheaper options.I began looking into tap and die sets and happened to stumble across these. Having never used taps or dies before, I was rather nervous of the fear of really messing up the spindle and the ruining my mower. However, these rethreaders stated that they would not damage existing threads. So, I took a chance. When it finally came time, I couldn't of been happier and relieved at the ease and perfection of the finished result!Along with using cutting oil for lubrication as well as taking my time to ensure level, straight turns, it worked as stated! From start to finish it took no more than 10 mins. Along with a brand new flange nut, I was back in business in no time flat!If you have any hesitation at taking a chance with this product, don't! It was the perfect tool to solve my problem. This under $20 purchase saved me from having to make a $300-$500 one! If I ever have any damaged threads in the future, I now have the right tools for job! You won't regret having these on hand!

At this point the last thing you want to do is remove any more of your damaged threads. So reforming them it best
